Grocery stores throw away soooo much. It’s great to see changes and the food being rescued. It’s kinda not knowing what you’re gonna get like a mystery box.

Hey Misty! It’s so different here in downstate NY. There are so many food pantries that unfortunately food gets wasted or thrown out sometimes. Very few people are ashamed to go to them here. I have seen ppl in BMW trucks getting food. You get food to feed a family of 5 for a week or 2- every week. More of the ppl who do not need the food take advantage of it.They give more nonperishables- rice, potatoes, and pasta. I share my food with my neighbors that need it and can’t get around.

Cool Video. I like a lot of that stuff, but I gotta be careful about what I get from the pantry because they give you a lot of sweets like that cake. If one were to indulge too much in those sweets, they could definitely find themselves in a world of unhappiness.

I was coming out of a goodwill a few months ago and a lady offered me food she was about to drop off at the food bank , very nice of her but a lot of the food was expired she gave me . The thought was nice though . I love honey smacks!

I really wish that our food pantry offered just a little bit of what I see in other area's it's really not to great here I mean we get the basics, sugar flour rice. But there is never fresh produce we get a choice of a pkg of hotdogs a chicken or a lb of hamburger. There use to be 2 choices for sweets and 2 choices of what was ever on a shelf that usrally had some type of sauce or stuff they could mot get rid of and you could get as many of the breads as you wanted. They would give soups but everything they do give now is maybe cereal that are hard as a rock everything Is thing's it seems that people wouldn't eat because it was just horrible and went bad, everything is far past the sell by date's.. There have just been far to many more people to give it too and We are only allowed to go to the pantry that our county chooses and only once a month it helps some what but a lot you just can't eat, trust me you wouldn't eat it. I really hope thing's get better for all of us here in the USA and soon I really feel bad for people who still have their children because they don't get anything better it's very sad. I know one thing my state needs to do better it's horrible what has happened. Just way to many people can't afford groceries anymore.
