Riu is a great resort!

Your video was very helpful to manage our expectations for our recent trip. We were able to beat the long lines at the buffets by avoiding the peak hours, which were generally after 0930 hrs in the mornings, 1330 hrs for lunch and 2000 hrs for dinner. So if you can adjust your time, your wait can be much shorter to none. But that only addresses the wait time for them as the quality was definitely lacking. I'd say the buffets were on par to Golden Corral with a few items that exceeded it. As for the non-buffet restaurants, we were able to get reservations secured by using their app. So I highly recommend getting the app and set up reservations as soon as you're checked into the resort. The ambiance at Bahia Steak House and Dos Lunas (both that take reservations) were good and their food not bad, so we enjoyed eating there for dinner.

I cant remember what color I had but yes the choices are the same but upgraded guests get access to the exclusive area

Just came back from Grand Oasis and the food was so disappointing, especially since Mexico has amazing food this resort wasn’t it

Yea, I was pretty disappointed with almost every meal. Its why I am as honest as possible with my reviews, give everyone a heads up lol

They need to clean that buffet a little

@@RoulaTravels Please what is the best resort in Cancun that you have been to that won't break the back (like $3,000 for 6 nights). I'm from NYC also. Born and raised in Queens, although I love Brooklyn. But now, with a family, I hoofed it to tranquil Westchester (three large dogs need more than an apartment to play in). I want to treat m wife (but also taking my sister-in-law to care for the baby during the nights when wifey and I want to stay out and get crazy). So, I was ready to throw down 3G at the Grand Oasis for the three adults and the baby .... that is, until I watched your TOTALLY F$%KING HONEST review (the way only a Queen of New York could do. You go, girl!). So, holla at me and let me know, please. Just gimme a name!!!!! Liked and subbed.
