Food around Langkawi | Seafood, Western, Malay, Thai & Chinese Food | Makan Time
Langkawi, an island situated north of the Malaysian Peninsular and part of the state of Kedah.
We Malaysian love to eat, thus, Langkawi too have a wide selection of food. In this video, we went around in Kuah Town and Cenang Beach in search of nice and tasty food.
Places we went:
Nasi Campur Top BBQ in Kuah Town
Situated at Persiaran Mutiara 2, this eatery is a typical Malay eatery. I open only for lunch and it cater mainly for locals. This is a great place to go to savor local Malay dishes. Do get there before the crowd. Their food selection is massive and I can say that all their food is tasty. Price wise is very reasonable. I do recommend it.
Pasar malam (Night Market) at Kuah Town,
There are many pasar malam around Langkawi, but this pasar malam is the biggest in the island. This pasar malam situated along Lencongan Putra 3, it only open on Saturday Night. You can find many local food and also daily essential.
Wonderland Food court at Kuah Town
Situated at Persiaran Mutiara 2, Pekan Kuah.
This food outlet served Chinese style seafood. It open for lunch and dinner but do come early to avoid crowd. Service is quick and friendly. Food is tasty & nice and price is affordable too. Highly recommended.
Pizza on fire Langkawi at Cenang
Situated at Jalan Pantai Cenang
This cafe has the thinnest pizza crust in the island. My kids love their pizza. They use high quality ingredients and the pizza tasty great.
It's the best snack to have after strolling Pantai Cenang or just to fill your stomach at night.
Shellout at Cenang
Situated at Jalan Pantai Cenang
This restaurant served seafood meal with a twist. Food served on the table for sharing. This style of dining is great for family and kids love too.. Food is tasty and priced reasonable too.
Orkid Ria, Cenang
This restaurant also situated at Jalan Pantai Cenang and it's open for lunch and dinner.
They served Thai Chinese style cooking. They have a wide food selection, from Lobsters to chicken. Depends on what you ordered, price varies. Overall, the restaurant is comfortable, service is quick and food is good too.
Road side stall & off the grid stall
There are many stalls around Langkawi, which sell local food such as Laksa, Mee Rebus, Rojak and many more. For us that’s the best way to savor in local food. Maybe in other videos I will feature them.

Saya ada pengalaman dalam food industry dan untuk makluman Chinese/Korean food menggunakan pork lard dan cooking wine bila menggoreng. Jadi saya nasihatkan agar elakkan kedai kedai sedemikian dan jangan ambil mudah akan perkara begini. Selalunya orang yg tidak involve dalam industri ni mereka akan ambil mudah sekiranya kedai kedai ini adalah kedai seafood walhal bila prepare Kam Heong one of the main ingredient adalah chinese cooking wine disamping pork lard. Begitu juga dengan oyster egg dan segala jenis gorengan. Atas sebab inilah kedai kedai begini tidak mahu mendapatkan sijil halal kerana mereka tahu mereka tidak akan lulus dan dengan demikian owner restaurant ini akan menggunakan istilah "muslim friendly" dan "pork free" restaurant demi mengambil hati orang islam.
Baru balik dari Langkawi pada 6,11,21 banyak kedai dah tutup akibat akibat covid yang berpanjangan antaranya Pizza on Fire, Orkid Ria Seafood. Apa pun terima kasih atas review

Hi wassalam, thank you for ur support. Langkawi have lots of good hotels & resorts. When we are there, our choices are as follows: Pantai Cenang - Pelangi Beach Resort (Luxury), Melati Tanjung (Average priced) & Sunset Beach Resort (Average priced). Pantai Tengah - Holiday Villa Resort (Luxury), Dash Resort (Above Average priced - newly opened) Pantai Kok area - Berjaya Langkawi Resort (quite luxurious), The Danna Langkawi (Luxury) Pantai Tanjung Rhu - Tanjung Rhu Resort (Quite Luxurious) Those 3 areas, you will never go wrong. For me personally, I love staying at Pantai Cenang because of it’s fast moving & hyped atmosphere. Everything is there, food, shopping, beach & off beach activities, night life and many more. Kuah town is OK for shopping (during the day) but when night come, nothing you can do there. Hope this help, have a great holiday 😃👍

Hi.. Wonderland food store ni adalah muslim friendly. Food store tidak mendapat sijil halal, tetapi suppliers makan mereka adalah dari supplier yg halal. Sijil halal supplier tersebut ada di papar di dinding food store mereka.
