I thought I noticed that. The set is from the album cover of some old Beatles album, the dress of course reminds us of 1964 Beatles. It's quite cool. SuperMisterKory Honestly, Taylor Hawkins is a very average drummer. His chops are no better than anyone you'd hold in the "top drummer category" (short of Travis Barker, who also sucks). Dave is wildly overrated as a drummer, which isn't to say he's bad, he's just overrated

Dave always had great artists on his show, I miss him.

If there is one thing I cannot stand is people who complain about Dave Grohl not using a digital tuner after stopping a minute in to tune his guitar. So what? Learn to Fly was recorded while it was just Dave, Taylor and Nate, so is a one guitar song. They are now playing with three guitarists, so no sound is lost here (to be honest, I found it a bit overkill but the performance is killer in spite of that). Besides, tuning the guitar manually keeps the live perfomance as it should be; real as shit. If more artists took Dave Grohl's old school approach to music I could learn to appreciate the industry as a whole.

Brian Bradshaw actually learn to fly was recorded, along with all the tracks on the 1st album, by Foo Fighters as a one man band, dave himself. it was something of a healing process for him after kurt died. then the problem came with touring....that's when he eventually end up with taylor and nate. and i agree......nothing wrong with the performance....that's what rock is all about! and tuning the guitar on the fly? that's just Dave being BADASS LOL

Ricardo Martin Brian Bradshaw Totally agree with both, a direct performance is as this, the things have to fixed or adjust in the run if happen, not can say (and more in an evil place as a performance live in TV or similar): "stop , my guitar sound bad, let me adjust this and we start again". Not always is possible, and the rest of the band was demostrate also profesionality, the song have to continue, sure they was noticed the trouble but they not stopped, why trust into theyself and done.

He’s a total inspiration to all of us musicians out there! Oh, and that’s also the reason why every single guitarist and bassist needs to be plugged into a chromatic tuner at all times. Not those crappy things you put on your headstock; a good BOSS chromatic tuner. Allows you to do tuning adjustments during a gig without making any noise while doing so. Also allows you to tune, despite the noise around you (whether it’s from the rest of the band playing the song, the venue, or your bandmates fucking around during practice).

foo fighters are a true raw band, never get tired of this band, i never get tired of learn to fly video, awesome,i don't know who does, i hope they keep bangin out the hits

_One of the greatest rock bands to come out of the 90's and Seattle. With their tenth album coming out next month, I'm beyond excited. (Other favorites just prior to Foo Fighters would have to be Nirvana, Collective Soul, and Stone Temple Pilots). Dave Grohl is one helluva a front man, drummer, lyricist, guitarist, and all around great human being._

even if he's not playing at that exact moment, it still takes concentration to tune your guitar. Plus, he's singing at the same time. So he IS performing and tuning at the same time, which is quite impressive!!

What a wonderful drumer is Taylor... We gonna miss you 4ever dear man!! No one at the drums like you!!

This is my favourite song of Foo Fighters. Ii is a brilliant song!

Totally impressed that Dave Grohl can turn off his amp, tune his guitar (if you listen closely, you can hear the dischord prior to his tuning), turn his amp back on and not miss a beat. First saw the Foo Fighters in concert in 99(?) with my son and a bunch of his friends, and I'm still a huge fan. Loving the Beatles look they have on this particular show . . .

This will always and will be my all time favorite Foo Fighters song, it helped me get through a rough spot in my life, along with the song Walk. Thanks guys, you all have a heart of gold that is tough as concrete.

It's a crowd of Ellen Degeneres fans, not necessarily Foo Fighters fans. The demographics change rapidly between the two, and therefore, so do the reactions to them playing, unfortunately.

In a way it's a good thing because then the band doesn't have to try and compete with the audience with noise level and they can focus more on the sound, which makes for a wayyyy better mix.

Not 're-tuning', just 'tuning' - as in just a string or two. Also doesn't take a lot of experience (especially not 'years') to press down on a peddle, tune up for a sec, then press on another peddle.
