I live up in the hilly western mass. and sometimes at like 6 in the morning you just find yourself in the middle of a forest, miles from any proper human life, walking through gray mist and darkness with only the sound of stepping over wet leaves and the repetitive psychotic lullaby of crickets to listen to. But I've grown up in the hills. And it's not frightening. Now, every once in a while you'll pass into some clearing, turning out to be on of those river-like rows of Transmission Towers, the same things in these videos. Rusty or cracked, but still out in the middle of nowhere carrying signal. Like a river. Sometimes you'll follow them up-hill for a few miles, or maybe down. It sounds like they used a pitch shifter which maintains the formant (E.g. reapitch). Basically it means the tone of his voice doesn't get ruined when the pitch is lowered.

I'm a pretty friendly guy, but also the kind of musician that really feels the feeling behind certain notes, and the beginning notes of this song feels more like "I'm feelin so much sadness and anger, all pent-up and here is where enough is enough and i'm lettin it out. In these kick-ass power chords" But then the lyric is less "it didnt work out and im insanely angry" but more "could it work out? why cant it? can we try again? what's wrong? let me fix it. give me another chance"

The vocals sound great! Always room for improvement sure whatever; but man - I'm gonna be listening to this version like every day now for a couple months I bet. The lower tuning is just so beautiful to me. Thank you for the work you put in this. It sounds professional.

He states in the description he used Ableton Live, the pitch shifting in Ableton is VERY good at keeping the "sound" of the clip intact when transposing up or down, especially using the "Complex" algorithm within Live's clip editor.

Theres an essential part of pitch shifting no one ever does which is called formant shifting. If you shift the formant up the same amount you shift the pitch down, you get a natural sounding vocal.
@RazorXSonic

I live in Massachusetts and here we get fog. mist. But in Massachusetts, by default some are just fuckin fearless. Just wandering through forest and covering terrain on-foot is a serious part of New England culture. I pity those who don't know what it's like.
