Addition to the creation of the Small Caps. Just scaling is not enough and you also need to adjust the stems width to make them equal to lowercase stems. RMS Tools plugin does it all automatically.

Hi, as mentioned in the tutorial, if the features are working on fontlab text preview, assuming you followed the steps mentioned. You can directly export font from goint to export and click on OTF or TTF. I will make detailed tutorial in future.

FontLab does not fully support exporting fonts for Indian scripts like Devanagari yet. I have enquired about it with FontLab team, I have been assured that they are working on it and in future versions it would be able to create and export Indian script fonts. When that feature arrives, I will surely make a tutorial about it. Meanwhile I suggest that you use Glyphsapp to make Devanagari font. OpenType rules are automatically generated so that you don't have to worry about it. Still, if you want to learn about OpenType shaping for Indic scripts, I recommend you visit this link. It is possible to create Devanagari fonts in FontLab and use external tools like fontmake to create OTF files, but that is highly complex and out of the scope of the intend for the tutorial series. github.com/typotheque/text-shaping

Actually I've no mac access for Glyphs.. however I've been also told to use fontmake for Indic Script.. indeed fontmake seemed to me a very complex task as I am not accustomed with running command line app..thanks ❤️

You can start with an opensource font like one of the Apache 2-licensed Noto fonts github.com/twardoch/toto-fonts - FontLab 7.2 can decompile these features into human-readable format, and can now export feature definitions into Microsoft VOLT, where you can fine-tune them. You can check Al Mamun Hossen’s videos for some additional guidance: kzread.info/dron/t5bqU6XimvggjbAx8H6stQ.html
