Fontaines D.C. is one of the most poetic post-punk bands in the world. Five Irish guys who can hit you with a dirty guitar and caress you with a soft lyric. Two years ago they received flowers and wreaths everywhere for their album 'Skinty Fia'. It also brought them to the main stage of Rock Werchter. This summer, right after their main stage performance at Pukkelpop 2024, they released their fourth album: 'Romance'.
Michèle Cuvelier spoke with frontman Grian Chatten and bassist Conor Deegan III.

Fontaines D.C. is een van de meest poëtische postpunk bands ter wereld. Vijf Ierse gasten die je kunnen slaan met een smerige gitaar en strelen met een zachte tekstregel. Twee jaar geleden kregen ze overal bloemen en kransen voor hun album ‘Skinty Fia’. Dat bracht hen ook naar de Mainstage van Rock Werchter. Deze zomer, vlak na hun passage op de Mainstage van Pukkelpop 2024, komt album nummer vier: ‘Romance’.

When we were planning the marketing and promotion for this album we had spice girls on every frame and we're so glad people picked up on that 😂😂😂😂 starburst is a banger 🔥🔥🔥 so excited for this new album I can't wait to see them on tour!!! 🤩
