fontaine is so incredible and exactly what i needed in genshin. the exploration is easy and the quests are intriguing and fun. it’s so wonderful

The dialogues aren't that long either! Sumeru's story being ruined because of the boring dialogue was pretty sad. Hopefully fontaine won't run into the same issue of cutting in middle of an exciting part and dropping an essay later on in the archon quest.

@@Exist10L me too, but it's still possible for Natlan to maybe have a more peaceful lore but a very chaotic event ongoing while we visit. Or HoYo doubles down and makes Natlan look both intimidating with an equally dark history. But so far every region we visit looks beautiful with a lively city but then we find out there's a lot of dark stuff that happened. Enkanomiya might be the only one that looks both grim and have a grim history, but idk if that counts as an actual region.

@@Marji0922 but all I'm saying is that the lore gotta be tame in comparison to the atmosphere/vibes of the region to defeat the trend. Doesn't necessarily have to be 100% peace and tranquility.

And to think almost 3 years ago we were drowning in shoulder-high water, haha. But for real, Fontaine has been gorgeous in storytelling and characters. Dish's showcasing being completely flawless recently.

Hoyoverse didn't remove drowing system from other places because they don't want nostalgia creeps to shout about bringing back old features.

And the Mary-Ann world quest is wonderful. I think hoyo kinda listens to the feedback from Aranyaka so they subtly divide the story in 3 different quests. Unbeknownst to the player suddenly the story is finished and they're left with a cliffhanger 😂

For real!! Fontaine has been the only region where I have yet to skip dialogue for any world quest, they're all so interesting!!

The only thing I heavily dislike is that only Fontaine characters can do the swim jump from the water... Also do we give Paimon allowance??

fontain is the only region so far that has actually made me feel inspired to 100% exploration… it’s just so goddamn fun

Fontaine is a bigger upgrade than sumeru imo. I also love how you can swim underwater and explore new places with epic sea creatures. I’m just happy and excited to play Genshin everyday! 😆😅

It's so much better than exploring the desert 🏜 who else forgot to talk to Dehya before going to Fontaine? 😂

I'm glad Ms. Dish and a lot people still enjoys and get excited playing Genshin. The Fontaine region is so gorgeous, plus the new Underwater exploration brings more variety in our journey to the Hydro Nation. Looking forward to upcoming regions in the future :)

With Fontaine's "shallow waters" having big Sabnautica energy - I hope, that we'll go DEEP. And I mean "pitch dark, with only glow of magma and local version of leviathans in the background" levels of deep. Though the fact, that both the swimming AND Ace Attorney had me glued to the screen is awesome. Can't wait to get my hands on Furina. And not gonna lie - the Dancing Duo is my favorite boss in Genshin bar non.

Oh God that's what I've been worrying about ever since they announced swimming underwater, the fucking monsters/sharks/other scawy things o.o just so glad you can see pretty far when you're underwater in this game (unlike IRL which triggers my phobia LMAO)

4.0 dev stream said they wont do scary underwater exploration and they made the mobs more "cute" to reduce the players' anxiety and phobia while exploring

On one hand that sounds fantastic, on the other hand I deeply love the story of subnautica but I physically could not make myself go any deeper than a few meters. Like this video game was actually starting to cause panic attacks, and I was deeply concerned about this patch because of that. But it’s been such a beautiful and peaceful experience, there’s only been once or twice when I had to panic teleport out lol😅

there’s genuinely not been any regions that i’ve been this excited for. 4.0 has arguably been the best update so far. from the gorgeous scenery to the unique underwater region. +the archon quest kinda reminds me of one of my fav video game, ace attorney. :D

me and my friends did a zoom countdown (because one of them lives in indonesia) with a light up timer i got and it was so fun, when the timer was up we popped confetti but then we got the timing wrong haha 😂 still a fun time though

About the Fontaine ocean rising: All of Liyue will not be drowned, and neither will any other nation. Immediately when going into Fontaine you can see that it has it's own sea which is already magically higher than the ocean around it due to the curse, hence the need for Romaritime Harbour to ascend up to it from the sea around Farakhkert If you look even closer, you can see that Teyvat actually has three oceans at different levels: 1. The normal outer sea, where Inazuma is 2. An inner sea south of Fontaine, which you can see falling into the outer sea if you look north of the gap between Farakhkert and Romaritime. This sea has partially risen due to the curse according to Lynette, although not as high as Fontaine's main ocean 3. Fontaine's sea, which has risen the most drastically, turning large areas of what once used to be a plateau landscape into large lakes (such as Salacia Plain). The drastic rising of this ocean due to the curse has also submerged places such as the Institute of Natural Philosophy and many old houses and buildings

I love Fontaine so much and being able to dive is amazing

As soon as I enter Fontaine I always feel like I'm in a Ghibli movie as well. The whole landscape and music. Everything. So pretty :)

Fontaine is simply amazing. I am still closer to European culture, I love steampunk with all my heart and I like reflections on the judicial system and justice (even my diploma is about this 😅). So for me, Fontaine is just hitting the target. I like that the characters from Mondstad organically fit into the local color. Swimming is just a child's delight. 11/10

The Fontaine exploration completely single-handedly reignited my interest in the game, it’s so much fun. I just won my 50/50 and got Lyney today, so hyped to see what I find looking for his materials

Fontaine is my second fave region after Liyue. They both just feel so nostalgic somehow, and I have spent my days just swimming around admiring the view. My midnight hours feel so cozy now, thank you❤

u can hear furinas voice crying after the archon quest, go in the middle of the fountain of lucine then lower ur music and sfx, then wait for the girl beside the fountain to talk then furina will start crying in the fountain

i love fontaine SO SOSO MUCH. i just got done with the archon quests and lyney's story quest and everything is genuinely perfection?!?!? i've had a huge genshin burnout before fontaine but I FEEL ALIVE if (i could i'd, i'd do it all over again)

I love fontaime so so much i was on a 6month hiatus n i stopped js to check genshin out n it was worth every bit of my time

Everything in Fontaine is huge, pretty, and polished! Exploration is relaxing and the steampunk aesthetic is on point. Maybe the only thing I wish the devs could've gone for was a darker, grungier tone of steampunk for the city to contrast the clean aesthetic of Mondstadt/Sumeru. But ig the devs preferred the regal and elegant look to go with big structures and consistency of the clean aesthetic. Still nice though since the Sewers and Poisson give us that grungy vibe hehe~

Your reactions are so similar to mine and it’s like re-experiencing the first time joy to watch you experience it for the first time. I just know Fontaine is gonna be my favorite place for a while lol The underwater experience is so nice and relaxing, even when shit tries to attack me lmao And omg the first hydro eidolon gone evil that I had to kill made me so sad I was stabbing it and being like “nuuuuu mihoyo why you do dis getting me all attached to the boyos and then makin me kill ‘em whyyyyyyyyy”
