In this video you will see how to make a fondant fire hydrant cake topper. This fondant decoration can be made larger to go on top of the cake as a topper. Or smaller, to go on the sides of the cake/cake board. The fondant fire hydrant is a cute addition to your fire truck themed cakes!
The hydrant was made using red fondant with a bit of tylose powder added to make it more sturdy. Small round cutter( or round piping tips), exact knife and a bit of water to help the fondant stick together.
