Same 😂😂 these nail KZreadrs are right when they say having a cleanup brush and acetone actually makes a world of a difference. My cleanup brush is an old makeup brush but I recommend getting one dedicated for nails so it doesn't fray from the acetone

IKR, even if I apply liquid latex for just a basic one color nail (i have shakey left hand which is nondominant so its better to apply it) I still get it in my cuticle or on the sides of my fingers.

I understand she wanted to follow the directions of the video and that’s why she wasn’t adding a top coat or letting the polish dry before she put tape on but I’m pretty sure the one nail that she messed up and then covered the whole thing in glitter wasn’t in the directions of the video either. She was doing so good at first and then it went downhill.

The video didn't say to let it dry!! The point of the video was following step by step to the technical aspects. Even in cristines old videos she showed a cat clock showing to wait for things to dry.

This concept is absolutely GENIUS. Simply Saturdays are easily the best part of my week. Conquered only by Taco Tuesdays. Also, every time I see a white polish, I remember the polar bear in a snow storm lol

I am so happy to see simply's videos recommended in youtubes nail promo. I know she isnt really a nail channel much anymore but I still love to see her content and really dont care all that much about doing my nails

I'm glad Cristine keeps pointing out that noone ever says anything about putting a topcoat on before proceeding to do nail art/tape designs. I didn't know that for years and years and always wondered by it always looked like shit. Or to peel off tape while the polish is wet. I had assumed you wait for it dry, and... you guessed it... it looked like shit.

when I used to do my nails, I never applied topcoat before something else like peeling. I would let the first coat dry fully, and then if using tape taking the excess stickiness in my hand so it does not stick too harsh on the nail and when you remove it it leaves the design without ruining the first coat.

Cristine used the cat clock to beat it into our brains that you gotta wait between steps. Have you watched her ooooolllllddddddd videos ? I think a takeaway from this video (and the voiceover only trend in general) is more than just the importance of visuals, but that we must advocate for clear and precise instructions in tutorial videos. Those who cannot see the video and have to rely solely on the voice should still be able to carry out the task as well!

Yeh, like someone who may have visual impairments. The instructions were pretty clear but I think that she needs to include the fact that top coats and letting the polish dry is important becuz it seems like she left that out... But I have never watched it and with the power of editing we only say the nail art and not anything else.

i miss when cutepolish was actually cutepolish... she’s hardly ever in her own videos :(

How long do you need to wait then? Because I’ve waited around 20 minutes until the polish seemed very dry and things still go wrong if it’s not sealed. I do usually use really cheap polish, so that may be a factor too.

I was so top of my class is smartassery, and so absolutely dedicated; I contributed to one teacher having a mental breakdown, one teacher quitting and two bus drivers admitting to the school and their significant others that they were in fact having an affair at work with one another. However it almost cost me my diploma. Had to do over again, while innately ALWAYS a part of my personality and thus unavoidable, I would ramp up my educational performance and allow my natural talent (smartassery), to take a back seat for once. Glad to see I'm not alone and I am in good company. I think you did an AWESOME job considering what you were given. You even said it yourself, you knew the lack of "TACO", was a highspeed avenue to failure. ..well done!

I only learned how to start growing my nails last year, I was so afraid of getting c*vid that I stopped biting my nails by not putting my hands on my mouth. Before that I spent 19 years of my life dreaming with the day they would finally grow. Also, taking care of them and always having nail polish on it helps a lot!

I think videos like this are a good example and reason that tutorial videos should be made accessible to everyone! Visually impaired people may want to enjoy this content too, so having detailed and clear instructions are a good way to make your content more accessible.
