DOCskillable: Correction....when determining the back-bearing you only ADD 180 degrees if the forward bearing is 180 degrees or less. If the forward bearing is more than 180 degrees you have to SUBTRACT 180 degrees to find the back-bearing.

From reading the manual of this compass the eye slit should be vertical for best viewing of the bearing numbers.

hi.. how about the angle accuracy?..have you try to compare the angle accuracy with the standard/documented angle?
