Trevor Wittman is a world-renowned striking and combat coach. This is an excerpt from SECRETS TO COUNTER FIGHTING available from DynamicStriking.com.
Dynamic Striking was started by a pair of black belts (Bernardo Faria & Michael Zenga) who feel that nothing is more important than improving your striking skills as much as possible in the least amount of time. Their aim was to create a shop for students interested in striking who don’t look at mixed martial arts as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

Incredible info that you're giving us. I'm sitting here eating popcorn like it's a damn Hollywood movie. Good me hooked (no pun intended) from the first second to the last.

One of the best at explaining these inside techniques. Very high fight IQ, Trevor plans to rip you apart scientifically
Almost all the things that I thought were right were confirmed watching this man ...legit master trainer.
Trevor Dripman back at it with some banger stuff!
I love how he asked Justin why he made a particular choice or combination of punches.
can't get enough of trevor, always fun

Damn, what an honor it must be to train with a legend like Trevor Wittman. I want to seek out some training with him some day. Maybe even a train-cation. Fuck it, I'm doing it. 🥊

The little details to pick out of this are fantastic. Where you keep the hand on the hook so that you don’t open your face to the count.
always love what you got to show trevor.thank you.
One can really appreciate the difference in knowledge and instruction of a world champion-class coach as compared to local coaches whose accomplishments are limited to their region.
Thank you so much for this!
This man’s wisdom speaks to me
Trevor is by far the best coach I’ve seen instruct in this way. imho
Been my favorite series
ive paid close to $1000 on the dynamic striking website for a lot of videos that I've applied and really helped me at that time, ima competitive amateur boxer and i gotta say strategies i already use and have learned in the gy or fights but to the point and i love it . especially being conscious about hooking with a hooker. beating them to the punch or punching with them the cleaner punch i spar a lot of pros as i will be going pro soon and the liver shot is a assertive punch and even thrown on its own at the right time can display great skill and ring iq but seeing the left hook while blocking man that's money right there! love it

Getting to take notes from Trevor Wittman with Gaethje showing examples is just epic. I love youtube for content like this. I could never afford to train one on one with Trevor yet here I am learning his techniques for free! Amazing guys! Thanks Trevor and Justin you guys f***** rock!!!
Wow i think this video just taught me more about boxing and fighting in general than I ever understood. It’s a different dance I don’t see that the people in the sports know. I always knew it but this shows it. Great video
Superb guys, thanks very much for this!
So glad I found this channel. The GOAT Trevor.

i feel like Wittman is the perfect coach for gathje... I'm not sure if it'll ever happen, but would be cool for Gathje to get the belt.
Coach Trev better be working on them barefoot/ minimalist high top boxingshoes with split toe, fully leather, no toe spring! Iam using vivobarefoot gobi 2 desert ankle high (best alternate boxing mobility shoe so far) I promise u, if u fix those narrow toes, u will experience movment with added dimensions. No more bs injuries and bs foam rollers. Just let me know if u need a ultimate barefoot guide, we got this fam
Olives literally did that to Justin
12:45 holy sh1t that's some wisdom lol. Been doing it "wrong" for years. Will drill that

I see TONS of top pros in boxing, mma and kickboxing make this mistake/laziness and its usually okay 99% of the time until that perfect angle shot comes in and ends the fight. Trevor is such a good coach. I always thought of this as "maximize defensive real estate with the punch not being thrown" but the way he teaches it is so clean.
Gaethje at 00:48
Does Justin do a backflip into his convertible super car after each practice?
Gaethje is really good at this type of fighting. Constantly in the pocket taking a shot to drop a bomb.

Punch to the shoulder?

the shoulder is just the target for the drill. the punch would be landing on the chin in a real fight.

Ok, pull counter. Repose
I watched a lot of justin in camp.. He is even now on the basics mostly bc they work, especial with 4 oz everything changes.. not talk about muy thai
I'll bet Gaethje smoked a blunt before this.

Good stuff except for the beginning with the leaning… good footwork will make you sorry for leaning like that… guys that you see doing that already use or have been using footwork and the lean is the icing in the cake. The ppl watching this haven’t baked the cake yet. Not ready for icing
overrated, but still decent coach.

He trains some of the best in the world he’s above a decent coach lmao
@micshaz
Жыл бұрын
@@letmegetuhhh3959 i really don't think so, a lot of "coaches" have a lot of high level talent and in that regard he is not unique, and really what you're saying is good enough for if he trained average bums in your local gym; i personally think he consistently gives bad advice in the corner of UFC fights when we get to listen in to it / EXCEPT for a few standout performances. he's also not stupid because he has also consistently stepped down from coaching in corners where a particular skill set was not his expertise. therefore decent - won't throw you under the bus; but can make really bad calls. big fan of Gaethje btw, and particularly coaching him i think he's done the best and worst of his coaching.

If Trevor Wittman, John Danaher and Javier Mendez started a gym, they’d take over MMA.
