Folkfriends Hardanger Fiddle / Hardingfele

Музыка

en.folkfriends.com/Hardanger+f...
We happily present our new Hardanger fiddle! This beautiful instrument whose characteristic feature is the four sympathetic strings below the fretboard is carefully crafted. The full range of sound even in a crowded, noisy room is easily heard. The second set of strings are not directly bowed, but rather sympathetically resonate when the other strings are played, thus creating a reverberation effect.
Body, fingerboard and pegbox are provided with rich decorations such as paint, inlays and a carved dragon head. The woods used were aged 20 years before they were crafted into a fiddle. The top is made of spruce and the back and neck from gorgeous flamed maple. The fingerboard is ebony.
The dimensions are as follows:
Total length: 63 cm
Body length: 35 cm
Cabinet width: 16.5 / 10.5 / 20.5 cm
Scale Length: 30.5 cm

Great. Let me know. We are planning to make two more Hardanger fiddles within the next six months. If you are looking for some Special varnish colour we can make it that way. I prefer this antique redbrown like on this one: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eJ522suNqJTaYJs.html

Since we make some instruments anyway. Do you prefer an instrument with the traditional dragon head or like we made with a womans head : )

Folk friend, perfect info about tuning. But you are playing "violin". Hardanger fiddles never play in minor. Nor Irish jigs. But Nice. Thanks
