FOLEGANDROS, Greece - the best beaches
EN - Folegandros is a small island 14 Km long beetween Santorini and Milos, reachable by fast ships ; it has three small village : Chora (main center) built on 200 meter high cliff, Karavostasi (port) and Ano Meria (scattered houses).
Island without trees, only bushes; wild beaches not organized in some cases with natural shade (tamarisk).
Folegandros is the ideal destination for a peaceful and relaxing holiday (one week will be enough) and perfect when combined with Santorini because the two islands offer completely different scenarios.
Chora is a nice center with an unmissable ascent to the Virgin Mary church and an unforgettable sunset.
Beaches well marked and easily reachable, some walking or by boat service.
Meltemi wind present in the summer.
IT - Folegandros è una piccola isola lunga 14 Km tra Santorini e Milos, raggiungibile con navi veloci; ha tre piccoli villaggi: Chora (centro principale) costruito su una scogliera alta 200 metri, Karavostasi (porto) e Ano Meria (case sparse).
Isola senza alberi, solo cespugli; spiagge selvagge non organizzate in alcuni casi con ombra naturale (tamerici).
Folegandros è la destinazione ideale per una vacanza tranquilla e rilassante (una settimana sarà sufficiente) e perfetta in combinazione con Santorini in quanto le due isole offrono scenari completamente diversi.
Chora è un bel centro con un'imperdibile salita alla chiesa della Vergine Maria e un tramonto indimenticabile.
Spiagge ben segnalate e facilmente raggiungibili, alcune a piedi o con servizio barca.

Bellissimo e utile video. Sarò lì in settembre il video che periodo era? Alloggerò a Karovastasi e non avendo la possibilità di camminare a lungo vorrei utilizzare le boat trip come taxi e usufruire di un servizio noleggio ombrellone e sedia Consigli? Grazie

Ciao Cora, ottima scelta Karavostasi, strategica e comoda posizione sia per raggiungere la bella spiaggia di Katergo sia per raggiungere tramite autobus Chora Folegandros e le altre spiagge dell'isola, ma proprio lì la spiaggia Vardia la troverai molto bella; io ci sono stato all'inizio di luglio...la sera devo dire la verità se vuoi trovare negozietti, ristoranti e un po' di vita devi andare a Chora Folegandros; per quanto riguarda spiaggine ed ombrellone io li ho comprati presso un benzinaio sulla sinistra poco prima di arrivare alla Chora che ne aveva un'ampia scelta, ma ti conviene chiedere alla struttura che ti ospita ; sempre li a Karavostasi potrai anche noleggiare auto, moto e bici...ti auguro una bella vacanza e ti ringrazio per il tuo commento !!!

No...colours change from the green in voreina beach to the blue/turquoise in katergo beach ; take in mind that unfortunately colors can be different from device to device, for example on my huawei the saturation is wrong, about 25% more ; my videos are taken by a Panasonic camera and edited on a Sony Vaio computer ; take a test, look at my video kzread.info/dash/bejne/o2ynq6aKZrXTndo.html after the 7th minute the beaches are absolutely Caribbean without the green color...I'm sorry for this problem and I thank you for the comment.

yes, is true...but ideal if paired with santorini; in fact personally I prefer Kefalonia kzread.info/dash/bejne/kX6dqqSrh62dY8Y.html and Paxos,Antipaxos kzread.info/dash/bejne/o2ynq6aKZrXTndo.html (small islands but with some really Caribbean beaches)...ciao e grazie.

Ciao Lilian, il periodo migliore va da metà giugno a metà settembre, il mese migliore a mio parere è luglio perché il clima è più caldo, il mare è più caldo, le giornate sono più lunghe e non ci sono ancora troppi turisti; Folegandros è un'ottima destinazione se abbinata a Santorini perché le due isole offrono scenari completamente diversi; ti ricordo che il periodo estivo può essere tra il ventilato ed il ventoso per la presenza del Meltemi...ti auguro una buona vacanza e ti ringrazio per il commento ! No...certo non è la temperatura dei caraibi, ma lo stare in spiaggia ti fa desiderare il bagno o la nuotata e quando esci nessuna sensazione sgradevole. La trovo una meta ideale in accoppiata con Santorini.
