My only concern is what you said about Haitians not leaving Haiti, It's easy for us to be in America, Canada, France, etc., and tell are Haitians not to leave, but as a human being if you are in a horrible situation you are going to do what's best for you. That being said it's going to take us the diaspora to help not only just are families but all Haitians by supporting them with money, food, etc. until the situation in Haiti improves. The conflict comes from historical conflicts. Haiti occupied them and tried to invade like 13 times. When they didn’t want any intervention. When Haiti occupied they made a crop mandate basically worse then when they where under Spain rule. Haiti saw it as military strategic need so France wouldn’t come back. If that never happened they would probably be good allies today. Also they don’t denied being of African descent. They just claim nationality meaning all 3 Taino,Spanish and African everyone in latin America does that. Just like PR and Cuba them 3 are basically the same ethnicity. Spain let them mix and wasn’t forcing it like France. So part of the problem comes from how both sides see the past. As for present time the DR is upset they can’t enjoy the social services they pay for because it’s being used up at a alarming rate. While the corruption leaders take the ppls money and blame the DR. When they are helping more than Haitis leaders.

The truth is Dominican Republic has 11 canals, and Haiti is now building one, and Abinader tries to prevent that.

Not true. The problem with this canal is that it will curve the waters of the Masacre river into another river inside Haiti.. look it up in google earth. Do you know that DR never constructed a river Dam on the masacre river to allow Haiti to use its water? Haiti has also built other canals on the masacre river but those do not steal the water but do share the rivers just like Dominican canals. Now because of this controversial canal the DR is forced to built the Don Miguel dam officially controlling 100% of the river which will render the canal useless. Now tell me that your Hatian prople are not the fumbest humans on earth.

Many Dominicans were afraid that Haiti would take over DR again, this was the most important, then also thought DR was too small and poor to be a sucessful country, DR was poorer and less populated than Haiti. So, they INVITED Spain back to have the support of the empire, just as some invited Haiti in 1822. Thankfully, the ones who thought the DR could be a successful independent country won. Trujillo was also Haitian, his mother’s family migrated from Haiti. Another thing the Perejil is not the only massacre There was also the Massacre of Moca where Desaline and Christophe marched into DR and beheaded innocent civilians. Please know that it all Dominicans are ignorant and in fact the Dominican flag comes from the Haitian flag! Lastly Haiti helped the Dominican Republic during 1865 to gain independence from Spain.
