Great idea to show examples on the table, something the myriads yt channels talking 40k very rarely do, keep it up!
Watching again to really get it, thamks Aiden

Some great tips 👍 that table Aiden guy certainly is growing in me 👌
Doing this with war dogs must be crazy!

Yup its really scary!
Nurgle blesses the algorithm
With the tank shock to open a transport play, if the enemy unit inside had fight first (which ironically that unit you used as generic stand ins does) would the better play to be charge the Deathshroud first, then the hellbrute so your Deathshroud can pile in and kill most of the plague marines before they activate? Which combines your first and third table Aiden techs into one play in a way, because they have to fall out, outside engagement range. Which works very similarly to just killing the 1 guy in range.
Aeldari like trickery!
Learned a lot :)
Great tips for every army!
Nice tips, this came up in my recent game actually!
I like getting greener and smarter!
Great episode
Comment for da algorithm.
Sneeeeeaky git! That's great.
Holy Moly! It feels like cheating 👀 going to do this to my buddy. Haha I need receipts on the Rules for when he wants to argue this lol great stuff man! I’ve already implemented your “move blocks” into my last two games with great success. Can’t wait to try this!
I want those objective markers lol
War dog Will!
Table aiden is back!
Amazing video! Loving clone Aiden at the table with his tips and tricks! Any chance we can see you play Steven on VT soon? Death Guard boss battle?
Used one of the previous videos tricked to get a plague marine with heavy plague weapon into a 1 wound Helbrect that was out of charge range. managed to get all 3 hits and wounds but it wasn’t meant to be as he saved all 3 😢

@@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien absolutely would have been epic. It worked out as he charged a flesh mower bloat drone, the drone tanked all the attacks and killed him on the retaliation
Hey Aiden, In this video, you always used the Helbrute as an example, which is understandable because it has an awesome Tank Shock profile. However, in competitive play, the Helbrute is rarely in the situations you mentioned. Would you recommend using a Bloat Drone with Mower instead of the Helbrute?

Honestly anything really can work. It's just a tool at our disposal. Allied soul grinders hit really damn hard too! Some metas can also support defilers aswell.
Great video. Btw, would you say the Hellbrute is worth bringing in semi-competitive DG lists? Just seems so slow

Depends on the list. For shooty DG absolutely, ranged contagion is great. For melee DG it's debatable. You still have some shooting and ranged contagion is great - boilblight, -1ap - but it's not as easy. You can try rapid ingressing it to get around it being so slow - 9" away, 6" move, that's an easy charge with the helbrute shock, then tank shock, and you can still apply contagion from both the helbrute and at range.

Semi competitive he's 100% viable either shooty to spread contagions or a cheeky reserves ingress unit
I still don't quite understand how you're able to negate a unit that has fights first. Basically since you destroy a model you successfully charge with tank shock, and since the destroyed model would put your model not within engagement range, they can't fights first and you can activate your model to pile into engagement and then attack first, negating their fight first?
@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien

Pretty much nailed it mate. I'll do the next episode all about fight first and negating it to help clear up any clarity issues :)

I thought the custodes could just pile in themselves?
@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien

@@lukepoplawski3230 the custodes are not eligible to fight as they do not fulfill the requirements of being eligible to fight. They are not within engagement range and have not made a charge move this turn.

@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien I explained this to a friend who didn't agree with your vid saying "I'm pretty sure that's not how it works". I see how it works now, but my friend needs a bit more proof in the pudding to see that his judicar unit basically can't fight me before he does. I'll refer him to your next vid when you go into details on it
@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien
29 күн бұрын
@@AriousArchaic on the warhammer app search fight phase and go to the introduction section. It breaks down what is an eligible unit to fight. Then in the video look at the rules and look at the video. The custodes unit can fulfill neither of the requirements needed to be eligible to fight as per the core rules so cannot activate until the helbrute puts them in engagement range
Do you declare Tank Shock before you roll your charge move, or after you roll your charge move?
@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien

Afterwards :)
Leaving a disgusting comment to appease the algorithm
Can you tank shock with blight haulers? What if you use 3?
There is no 'low power' on a Helbrute bud. The guy inside understandably goes balls to the wall every time. Good job on the explanations otherwise!

Lol that's actually funny never noticed that. Thanks for the heads up.
Don't have to disembark wholly within 3" of the rhino in that example?
@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien
Ай бұрын
They do don't be misled by the camera angle or me trying to keep the video going smooth but yes they must disembark wholly within 3"
I’m still confused about dodging fight first. I don’t get how it skips it. Wouldn’t feel confident defending that mid game. Great vid btw.
@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien
Ай бұрын
Because at the point of units being eligible to fight the custodes/fight first are not eligible as they are not within 1" but the helbrute is because it has made a charge move. Once the helbrute is selected to fight it must complete its full attack sequence before the next unit can activate

@@deathguarddisgustinglyresilienwhat prevents the fights first unit from getting to pile in? Is it because they aren’t currently engaged, so they wouldn’t be eligible to fight in the first place?
@deathguarddisgustinglyresilien
28 күн бұрын
@@tristonadams8938 when the fight phase starts the unit is not engaged as they are not within 1" of an enemy unit because tank shock is in the charge phase killed the only model that was within an inch. So without being in an inch of the helbrute the unit cannot activate to pile in and fight
