Would the newer steering wheels fit on a ford focus 2012 plate. Not specifically rs shape just any new shaped steering wheel

I really only see this as being useful if your leather has gotten messed up or the stitching is coming off. I might change mine for a new one at the mid-life of the car just because I didn't wear gloves for almost 40k miles, and the skin on my thumb somehow sawed away at the stitching on the "3" grip and now it's coming apart. I really enjoyed the way the leather looked when it was new as well, now it's all oily as one would expect. Although I'd do the ST wheel, not the RS. I watched this video because the two units are exactly the same aside from ricer points for having blue RS badging.

The cover and airbag do not separate, the oval is a decal and you can probably carefully remove it. -Bill

CJ Pony Parts thanks Bill. It got messed up by me trying to remove it to wrap it in gloss black. I've had no luck in finding another replacement logo piece for it as it's cheap aluminum that's held in by bent tabs. Cheapest I've seen online is $75 and is the airbag cover without the airbag which I could then pop out the new one and put in mine but $75 is a lot just for that little piece. I have an SE.

I didn't do this steering wheel swap, but after swapping my steering wheel I'm getting the airbag light on my dash

I have a 16 fiesta st, I wonder if the 18 st line steering wheel with flat bottom will work on the 16 in the same way the rs wheel works on the vanilla focus

Its not a direct fit, the airbag is shaped differently. We do not know what would be involved in making it work

It will only work on the 15+, the 13-14 have a different airbag

The shape is completely different. some of the controls on the 13-14 are part of the air bag trim.

MrLiipasin None of the connections are the same at all just stripped mk3 focus st (2013) steering wheel down to check. Might be a way to rewire steering wheel controls but not the air bag.

Well some how some way it will be able to be done but ive give up on the idea of the flat bottom wheel from facelift after looking at each of them.

I swear if there was a flat bottom wheel that worked for the 14 id buy it instantly I have an unnatural obsession with flat bottom steering wheels

Zach Rosler there is, check out sstuning, the only problem is they are located in Ukraine, also I'm not sure on the the US configure on the buttons, you would have to ask about US spec, the wheel comes complete with an airbag, also they range from all kinds of color combos and they even have one that has shift lights on the top section of the wheel

AND YOU TAKE THE SCREWDRIVER AND PUSH ON THE SPRING AND IT POPS RIGHT OUT. Watch Valley crew racing on his steering wheel removal on his ST if you want proper guidance.

This is the biggest waste of money ever for a 15 and up focus st. The steering wheel is literally the same one, the only difference is the stitching and the RS badge.

My steering wheel on my ST started cracking and got super sun burnt. This was a great replacement. Plus a new ST steering wheel is $400 from ford and this one I got for $190, I mean i’d rather choose this one.

Why would u ever want to put a RS steering wheel on a st there the same and it does make sense super ricey
