Hi Jennifer, if the Canon lens is an STM lens and you're using our manual Canon EF to Nikon Z adapter, the lens won't be able to focus, because STM lenses are focus by wire only, which means they need electric power from the camera to focus. You'll need to use our auto adapter instead. Here's the link: fotodioxpro.com/products/ef-nkz-fsn

hey im a bit confusing, since focal length is universal, how come full frame len on apsc camera crop in,for example, sony fe 35 1.8 len on a74 is 35mm,and it should be the same 35mm on a6600,its just image circle is bigger, the field of view should be the same, but its not. why is that? really appreciate it if anyone can help me with this

Full frame is the standard, so when you mount a 35mm lens on an APS-C camera, because the aps crop sensor size crops in on the lens's image circle, the lens is still a 35mm lens and its showing you what a 35mm lens will always look like on an APS-C camera, but because of the 1.53x crop it's also a 53mm full frame equivalent, which means the lens's field of view is the same as a 53mm lens's field of view on a full frame camera. Basically, full frame equivalence is just a way for people who are used to shooting full frame to visualize what a lens will look like on a non full frame camera. If you're a full frame shooter and you want a 50mm full frame look on your APS-C camera, you need to know what lens you'll need.

Yes same field of view just just cropped in because of the small image circle that makes it feel like u gone forward or the camera has zoom in the image.

did you use focal reducer or just plain adapter?

No focal reducers, just plain adapters. Focal reducers will change field of view.
