Isn't it just amazing with a camera up there in their little love nest, and we get to SEE how beautiful these birds are. Jackie, is gorgeous! So is her mate Shadow. It just gives me goose bumps and those magnificent feathers!

Truely Stunning!

I just watched a documentary about bald eagles in Alaska, they are definitely built for snow! All animals are such a gift. I feed the turkeys, hummingbirds and other birds in the hills where I live. I just sit on my front porch and watch them all in the spring. There are so many and I love when the mama turkeys come and show me their babies.

Sooo beautiful! Especially with the sun shining on the waterdrops on her feathers. Stunning. ❤

I love every “ detail” of their whole body! Their eyelashes show up when a close up is on them! I’m sure it’s not bothering J.& S., but I will be happy for them to have the nicer weather, & get past the snow. Bless their hearts , they are “ warriors” for sure! It will be very hard to watch once they eventually leave the nest. I just love how they settle so gently onto the nest and keep freshening it.

This is such a gift for me. Watching these two, very dedicated eagles has been a joy. I try and peek in at least 3 if not more times a day and I am introducing them to my grandsons as they begin to understand more about nature. Thank you for allowing us to share in this opportunity. So so gorgeous. These recent zooms have been magnificent! I’ve been wondering lately if nesting (before eggs hatch) takes a lot of energy for eagles… if it’s taxing to them.

Jackie is a beautiful eagle and Shadow is dedicated to her and the nest. What saddens me is that they are putting all that energy and effort on three eggs that are not going to hatch.

She is indeed beautiful. She doesn’t deserve the heartache of eggs that won’t hatch.Shadow does all he can to share in everything so selflessly. It’s hard not to inject human emotion into observation of these two. We can only guess, and that is hard not to do.

I think they're beautiful.I feel so bad that they didn't have a Egg hatch, I wish someone would give them a baby. There's plenty to go around. I know that's awesome but I can't stand it. This is their second time and she just won't give up. And neither will he. It is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. But we keep watching hoping that bill stop sitting on the nest and give up, but they don't do it. God love. Them

I hope the next maintenance, if the FOBBV can get approval from the government, requests adding artificial Branches & Leaves as a Roof for Jackie, so in next season, at least we see Jackie and her eggs will not be buried under the snow or lesser getting wet from the rain, and have a better chance of having the eggs to hatch. This will be a great way to have more donations from the supporters of Eagles.

Probably hungry, laying in a wet bed, surrounded by a bank of snow, while being bombarded by dripping rain while watching for potential predators, all in an effort to protect her offspring. That's determination that only God can instill.

It’s not very good, but they can see. They don’t hunt or fish at night, but their two trees are close enough to travel to and from at night.

She is Very Beautiful, And Shadow is so Handsome! They deserved to Have Fuzzies this year 😢 Ecspecially since Jackie laid a 3rd egg this year. Not Meant to Be Sadly. I know they say they don't have Emotions like Humans, But you Cant Make me Believe that they won't feel something since their eggs didn't hatch 😢

She is a beauty. I hope one doesn’t leave after 2 seasons of no eggs. Heard a biologist or some such say sometimes Eagles will leave the pairing after 2 to 3 seasons if no eggs, to go find another mate. I wonder if that’s what Shadow was doing when he ran off Jackie’s former mate?

Jackie is a stunner!!! I love these closeup pans, too. Question though, is Jackie’s beak okay? It looks a bit rough? Do you think it’s just food because it’s harder to be feaking when everything is covered in snow? I noticed this yesterday, but in days prior, I have closeups of Jackie and her beak is virtually unmarred.

I've wondered too. I've wondered if it is ice. Truly hope she's okay. We'll have to keep watching as weather warms up to see if it melts away and her beak is okay or if it still looks roughed up.

Here we have Jackie and Shadow. Jackie is larger with a flatter head (top), easier to tell when they’re together unless you’ve been watching for awhile.

Jackie is larger. If you check out the info on FOBBV’s page it will give you more details. I believe her head is flatter at the top than Shadow’s, but again all of this info is readily available on FOBBV’s page and channel. Have a good one

We are visiting Big Bear Valley, it is so beautiful ❤️. I never knew there were so many attractions here. We went to Dana Park but it's hard to identify the tree that J&S are in with our binoculars. We will try again tomorrow.
