I can just imagine a guard on an FOB mission seeing a cardboard box move, and then he’s just like “Eh, it’s probably just the Boss screwing around.” Now that I think, why can’t you just run around and they think you’re their Snake?

You're really good at this. That said, all these infiltration videos are starting to look exactly the same. Crawl, crawl, crawl....roll, roll, roll... throw, throw, throw... It's not the fault of the players... it's the fault of the game design. It's nearly impossible to actually crouch walk through the struts and sneak around and take out guards silently without being caught... and certainly not possible to avoid the guards and steal the resources off each platform in the short amount of time given... In the end, if you're attacking 4 platform FOB's with a defense level above 30 you're basically playing the game exactly the same way everyone else does again and again...and that gets kind of tedious. There's not enough freedom to actually attack each platform the way you want to and still be able to win.

Yeah, I see what you mean. Before MGSV came out they made it look like everyone's FOB would be different, but in actuality they all have the same exact design, just with different security settings. Grinding espionage points is just doing the same thing in and out, over and over. That being said it can still be fun to completely wreck someone's base.

David L. Yup. I agree. But I find that once a base's defense level is above 35 (especially with sniper rifle toting guards) there's no chance to do anything but sneak through. You don't have time to deal with the guards in a meaningful way and collect the resources before time runs out. I now just hit bases that are LVL 30 and below, not because I'm a coward, but because they're the only ones where I can actually play the game and come away with the opponents resources. Meanwhile, I'd love it if they patch in the ability to play as Quiet during FOB's. If I have to stare at someone's ass the whole round I'd prefer it be hers. :D :D

Because of that, I'm just infiltrating FOBs for resources to build my third FOB and eventually getting the Grade 8 Brennan. Don't care about esp. points. On PS 4, you won't be number 1 anyhow. Well, of course. But you have to share an account and at least with three persons of three different time zones.

Maybe Hideo himself? But I remember, that he himself has motion sickness and can't play his own games. And you know about the golden Snake name? Are only playing the event for S++ soldiers. I was away for a while and after coming back, top player over 2 mio. points and you get around 14k per run. Those players must have nothing else to do with their free time. I mean, over 100 runs? Just to get the golden name Snake?

If your going for no alerts you should have put them in the hold up mode or just killed them if you don't care about no kill bonus, stunning them and letting them wake up is risky

Decoys and stun grenades are underrated. You get over 4 people if you place the stun correctly.

Non lethal shotgun is based, it can literally one shoot people even when they have the highest battle amour

That can also backfire if you do happen to trigger a combat alert they’ll get up and rejoin the fight. When they are tranquilized you can actually see them wake up if you keep your head on a swivel.

Just one thing I don't get. How'd the FOB start alerted? I thought it only occurs during Security Challenge.

Nice run. I’ve been trying to do a resource steal run where I knock out all guards on the last platform, destroy UAVs and turn off the power. But it’s too hectic and chaotic (for me) to do it simply. Because I really don’t want a combat alert in order to avoid a retaliatory wormhole, and the guards inevitably (for me) go into soft alert pretty fast when I start and start running around the place. And then (like what happened here) all of a sudden you have guards coming over from the neighboring platform. Then you use the shotgun on many of them but they wake up pretty quickly, so then you have to constantly keep watch all around you in order to knock them out again. And if you want to hold them up you need to stand up and kick them which makes you exposed so you have to wait for that until all the guards near you have been knocked out. It’s sort of a whack-a-mole game. I think I’ve given up on resource steal runs. I think I’m going to ghost to Core like usual. Would have been a nice change of pace but it seems like a lot of risk for unprocessed material which you can just get in the Area of Operations anyway. Well, and another strategy I’ve been thinking about is to bring a powerful lethal gun and kill everyone on the platform. Because I’m gonna get a retaliatory wormhole anyway if I get spotted (destroyed UAVs). So ghost to the last platform and then kill.

Am i the only one that just goes to war with all 4 platforms killing all the guards and stealing all the containers freely?

+Andy Zeta Look at George Salonikh's vids. He's using the Hand of Jehuty for the first snipers and downs the others with the installed cannon. Just use a smoke bomb, sit down and shoot every single sniper.

It's the Snake Eater sneaking suit, the same one you can find in MGS3.

You probably figured out by now but the sneaking suit is better than the SV sneaking suit (Peace Walker). The dlc sneaking suit in the video functions the exact same as the regular sneaking suit from TPP.

I don't know if you're playing on PS4 or not but on console's the detection visibility is so low during night and during day it is almost impossible to play unlike this, you're able to move so freely without detection, on playing console even level 30 base is tough af because of detection range being so damn low with 1/2 sec reflex mode.

The guards always see me regardless if it's day or night, so i just started invading during the day so i can at least see them too. During night it's harder to see them, and the night vision doesn't help if they have anti-thermal suits.

A shame this game quickly got repetitive, open empty maps and convoluted storyline/menu. Snake Eater they need to make a game of that caliber.

But it's much better to mortar everything. After successfuly extracing every container, I'm climbing up to the mortar and destroy every single cannon, air-cannon, anti-theft-dvc and lastly the mortar itself. Is a lot quicker, because a direct hit destroys a cannon e.g. with one hit.

This game looks cool but stealth seems to be unrealistic kind of like ghost recon breakpoint lol
