Very clever device. Showing the available charge rates is a quite useful function. The scope function is interesting. The ripple from various devices has in the past created problems with some of my MCU projects. Another very helpful video. This device is listed on Amazon, but at twice the aliexpress pricing.

PE+ means "Pump Express". And you should do an update to your device. Then it can detect QC 4+, too. With the Cable Resistance Detection I sorted out about 30 shitty USB cables and only keep the good ones. Most of the cables delivered with a device are just garbage, but there were some positive surprises, too.

@@Brian_Of_Melbourne No, it's just the resisitance of the wires 5 volt and ground. On the bus lines floats almost no current.

That red powerbank looks like one I have, where you insert your own. 18650, or in my case 21700s. Is it just me, or is the percentage calculation really unreliable? It drops very quickly on an initial load, but lasts a lonnngggg time at the lower percentage readings.

@@cyrixone2771 To update it, you need a decent USB data cable. Press and hold in the toggle button, then plug the USB cable into a computer. This should then make the FN58 show up as a USB drive in your computer. Place the update file in the drive and it should update.

I have this one and am completely disappointed. Living in 2024 you would expect such a unit to support USB 3.0. It doesn't. No data is going through, so it is impossible to test USB3 buspowered devices, as without data they simply don't start up.

What this device have more than other USB devices for mesuring current? I had two of this devices and i think they are total garbage because these devices limits the current that flow through the cable compared without this device. These devices have their own resistance and therefore distort the measurements.

14:00 PD 100W? That's BS. It can do only 20V 3A. Or maybe it's a cable issue: you need a cable with an Id chip to tell the PD system that the cable will handle 5A without melting.
