FNG Academy Sean "Buck" Rogers- Special Forces vs Special Warfare

Are you trying to decide between AFSPECWAR and Army Special Forces? Don't worry, fam, we got you. Sean "Buck" Rogers, former Green Beret, LEO, and head of the FNG Academy joins us in the Team Room this week to talk about that exact thing!!!
We know there are a lot of decisions- which branch, how to train, which job- it can be confusing. That very reason is why we reach out to our friends and ask the hard questions, to make sure you have the most relevant, most accurate, and freshest information in the game.
Sean shares our passion for doing something bigger than himself for the younger generation, so it was only a matter of time before our paths crossed. Well, they did, and this one is absolutely packed full of information, motivation, and overall great wisdom.
We can't say "thank you" enough to Sean for coming on, sharing his considerable knowledge and experience, and helping get you all set up for success, no matter what career field you choose.
You can (and should) follow Sean on his KZread channel, FNG Academy ( / @fngacademy ), on his IG @seanbuckrogers, and be sure to check out his new book, "Rising Above".

That is a great story about the 320. That is why we always teach to never have your shotgun or tertiary weapons loaded if you do not have immediate use for it. If you have it loaded, you must have complete control of the weapons while conducting any type of movements or maneuvers unless you clear that system.

When I was stationed in Germany we had a guy that was a medic that worked in the hospital but he had came from Ft Bragg as support from a SF group and he wore the green beret and unit patch from his prior unit for like 6 months months after he got to Germany and he kept telling everyone he was SF even though he didn't even have jump wings, just goes to show you stolen valor can happen while active duty.

Someone who’s seen combat and the worst of the worst is still able to jokingly refer to a gernade toss as a LeBron finger roll..like his boy was skipping through the lane for an and 1..if that’s not somewhat encouraging that these guys can still crack jokes like that idk what is 😂

Speaking of women in these roles, I feel that a woman should be vital on Special Forces teams because there are places where the native women do not interact with men and a lot of vital intel could be lost. A woman on an SF team would actually be more of a force multiplier than a detriment.

Maybe... Then again, if the women don't interact with the men, they probably don't get to know anything at all...

Nothing stopping them from joining except not putting the effort in. I've seen some hard bastard women out there who should join but don't. Seen other potential women who could but either don't know how to prep their bodies or just can't be bothered to train for it then bitch and moan and the standards drop for them. I would like to see women in these roles.

Its ok Buck.... you should of never been allowed to be a police officer. To much aggression, we need psychologists as cops only 4 year degree lots of police have to have some college as it is. You don't put a direct action/ fn door kickers in a job where it takes desculation.
