This is amazing! My one (minor) complaint is that the backgrounds werent changed to fit the characters, having the MLP cast on sonic.exe backgrounds just doesnt feel right to me

That’s fair! I only really know to do character design and draw characters, and I didn’t really think to use backgrounds from the show because I thought the black outlines of the characters would look weird on it- The background of Final Escape was a last minute thing, I will say-
