One day nintendo said that a hypno hypnotized a child and brought him/her to the woods. He would then hypnotize the child and eat their dreams. it would prefer children than adults because a childs dreams are "tastier". But not all hypno are bad. Just that one.

Just to help you know more about Missingno. Missingno. Actually has five forms two forms are actually fossils of other Pokemon and the "bird" one you were talking about was a Pokemon called Aerodactyl and the other Pokemon was a kabutops (i think that's how you spell it) and the ghost form is known as 'phantom' or just 'ghost' and the last form is just the yellow version of missingno. From Pokemon yellow, i hope that helped!
