Ok, what I managed to understand is that Michael (I think he is the only one who changed clothes with William) is happy to have his father since, so to speak, he is in charge of keeping him happy, but after William's death, Michael He feels guilty and although he tries to talk to himself that it is not his fault, but he does not succeed... M:I'd rather I blame myself than acepting the fact that no matter what i do,I wouldn't be able to see him smile again for just one more day

This is so sad 😭 Yet I can't stop watching it 🥺 Time for another essay theory 🤩 Feel free to cancel me over these theories cause I overthink everything- 😍 Firstly, I'm going to do a brief summary again. Just helps me to collect my thoughts- So firstly, we see William and Michael standing together, with William smiling happily at Michael, and Michael looking fondly, and sort of sadly back at William. The scene then changes to one where William is no longer present, and Michael looks at the place where William was blankly and sadly. Now, there are also the song translation at the bottom of the screen as well, with a lyrics rewrite in the subtitles. If the subtitles are taking priority over the translations, then the words appear as follows: "It's no one's fault Probably I'd rather I blame myself Than accepting the fact that no matter what I do, I wouldn't be able to save him from that dreadful nightmare." Now, onto the actual theories. I have a couple, although some may be a fair bit far-fetched. 1. Michael blaming himself. Now, this one is not exactly a theory, more like a confirmation. It has been seen multiple times throughout Empathy's previous videos that Michael blames himself, most likely for William's death. That's seen in the "Daddy issues" meme and the "Past Michael and William's relationship". This video once again supports that, especially in the line "I'd rather I blame myself". The subtitles also imply that Michael would rather blame himself that accept that he wouldn't be able to save William, no matter how hard he tried. What I find interesting though is the last line, which says "I wouldn't be able to save him from that dreadful nightmare". I am not certain on what that "dreadful nightmare" could be. Perhaps it's alluding to the person that was speaking to William in the previous video. Perhaps it's referring to William's death. Perhaps something else. 2. Michael and William's relationship Ok, now this theory is likely far-fetched. And it almost definitely might seem completely wrong, but it's something my mind thought of, so why not 🤩. So firstly, in this video Michael is seen wearing William's clothes, and William is wearing Michael's clothes. Then there's the point of their height difference. Michael appears to be taller than William. Now, I certainly understand that children can be taller than their parents (my apologies if I offended anyone), and that it possibly is just the positioning of the characters, but I'll point it out nonetheless. Then there's also the case of the "Daddy Issues" meme (in the description of that video it says "implied child abandonment") and the "Past Michael and William's relationship" video (where Michael and William again appear dressed in opposite clothing). Let's not forget about the "We don't really celebrate Halloween" meme, where at the beginning and end William and Michael are seen again, with a very clear Father-Son relationship. And of course, this video, where another Father-Son relationship is seen. I'm just going to flat out say my theory now cause all of that probably makes no sense without context- What if we're looking at this the wrong way? As I said, *Far fetched theory*, but what if the roles here are switched? I mean, what if William is the child here, and Michael is the father, or at least the guardian? It probably sounds completely wrong, but I've been thinking about it. Firstly, the "implied child abandonment" in the "Daddy Issues" meme description. In the meme, it kind of looks like that that's referring to William, but the only problem there is that William isn't a child (or is he-?). If this theory was true, then that would therefore make more sense. Next, the "Past Michael and William's relationship" video. In the video it says "Enjoy some Father-Son bonding". Most (including myself) would assume that referred to William as the father, and Michael as the son. Yet William appears younger than Michael. Again, when placed under the context of this theory, things kind of line up. The height difference also can kind of be explained, as well as the clothing. It explains why in the "We don't really celebrate Halloween" meme, Michael acts like a father figure to William. And it also explains the relationship we see in this video as well. Now, I'm not saying that if this theory has any validity in it, that William is Michael's biological child. There's multiple ideas out there, such as "Perhaps Michael is just their father figure", "Perhaps I'm brain-dead and overthink all of this", "Perhaps somehow they switched places" or "Perhaps Michael is William and William is Michael" (yeah you can probably tell my brain is slowly dying 🤩). Perhaps it's a completely different reason. But it's something I thought of, and thought I might as well share. Feel free to cancel me over these theories, I overthink everything so chances are these are 100% wrong 🤩 Idk myself about the Michael/Father and William/Son theory, this is the stuff you get when your brain is dead and fried from school and little sleep 🤩😰 Now excuse me while I kidnap the bean William- 🥺

I’m wondering if William has some sort of disorder of something. I know he’s supposed to represent Charlie (I think) but still. I mean, that might just be purely his personality (which I’d be cool with) but how he specifically acts around Micheal confuses me a bit. Almost like Micheal takes more of the dad role over him when I’m thinking it should be the other way around. Also wut age is micheal supposed to be in this o.O

There is an explanation as to why William acts the way he does; whatever that is, it's up to you to find out He does act the same way with anyone else; It's just that Michael tends to stick with him, that's all I kept the characters' original age meaning that Michael is still the son of William Afton and William is still the father of Michael Afton
