its amazing how he saves william and sees he can be better and protects him that when he realizes being with william puts william in more danger then ever before ...he does what a hero does and goes off to try and finish this alone like seriously amazing

For me, 404 is like an anti hero, he does what he does for his own entertainment, and since he’s basically a god, he’ll underestimate everyone, once he realized cass might had have a chance to win, he abandons William.
