    I have the 509C tactical with the same compensator. Also put in the Apex tactical: trigger, heavy striker and extractor. Its an amazing firearm and I conceal carry it without the red dot and compensator. I can not see using another hand gun after carrying this one. Great video man, keep up the good work.

    Hi Primarch, that sounds like a great CCW setup. I also bought an Apex heavy striker and Apex trigger. I'm going to try and film the install process for the trigger for my channel. What did you think of the install process of the Apex trigger? Did you have any issues with the install? Thanks for watching the review and leaving a nice comment. Enjoy that awesome setup.

    I just purchased one a few days ago. I love the feel of in my hand over my Glock. They have a Cabela's exclusive package where it comes with a 17 round mag and 24, along with a vortex viper already installed for 999. The thing I'm disappointed in, is they didn't send the additional mounting plates. I still think it's a great buy, I just wish they sent all other hardware with it and possibly another mag.

    Hi Anthony, congrats on picking up the 509 tactical. It’s a really great pistol. I have to agree that the 509 feels better in hand than a Glock. I saw that package on Cabelas’s website but when I was looking around that package was sold out. I also didn’t know they didn’t include all the mounting plates with that package. They really should include them just in case you want to swap out the optic. So yours didn’t come with three mags? Also what do you think about the Vortex Viper as a red dot? • @UBRArsenal

    @UBRArsenal

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hey Donn, I don’t recommend the RMR. Not because it’s a bad red dot. The RMR is a great red dot. I just think the holosun 507c x2 or the 508t x2 is better for multiple reasons. Ill list a few reasons why I think the Holosun 507c x2 or the 508t x2 is better. First is because you don’t have to remove the holosun red dot to replace the battery. Which means you don’t have to re-zero your red dot every time you replace your battery. The holosun’s glass doesn’t have as much of a blue tint as the RMR has. The holosun is known to have a crisper dot for people with a stigmatism. Also the holosun comes with multiple dots to pick from. For people that are new to red dots on pistols this is a big help. If you use the 32 moa circle around the dot, it will make it much easier to find the dot because its a lot bigger than a 3 or 6 moa dot. Once you become proficient in drawing your pistol and the dot is always there when you draw, then you can change the reticle to the dot only. These are some of the reasons I picked a 507c x2 over the RMR. If I had to do it all over again I would have picked the 508t x2 because it’s made out of titanium which makes it even more durable than the 507c x2. I hope this helped and let me know what you decide to use on your pistol. Thanks for watching and leaving a great comment. Have a great day.

    Hi Donio, keep in mind I haven't had as much time shooting the PDP as I have with the 509. When I do get enough time I will post a review and give the PDP a score. So far I would say the PDP is a great option for a pistol. Honestly you cant go wrong with either one. If I had to pick right now I think I would lean towards the 509 because it comes with so many more high end features. If I was you, I would try to go to your local range and rent both and see which one you like more. One thing to point out that might help, if you plan on conceal carrying the one you pick. I would say the FN 509 might be better because its not as thick as the PDP. The PDP is 1.11 inches thick and the 509 is 1.0 inches thick. I know that doesn't sound like much of a difference but keep in mind you still have to add the holster's thickness and then everything starts to add up. I'm not saying it's a deal breaker, it's just something to keep in mind if this will be your conceal carry pistol. Let me know which one you pick. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day!

    Hi Tyler, my 509c came with three mags. One 12 round mag, one 15 round mag and a 24 round mag. It also came with that extra recoil spring. You should reach out to FN and let them know that you're missing a few things from your bundle. Let me know how you make out when you reach out to FN. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.

    I have the same 509CT n mine came with extra recoil spring, 12,15,24rd mags and hardware to mount dots. I think the tactical models are the only ones that come with the recoil spring and 24rd mag but fn does ship them or at least they used to. I did hear that fn stopped shipping with 3 mags all together but not 100% sure.

    Hi Styles, some pistols have long trigger resets, and some people didn't like that. Not worth it at all!! I paid 830$ for the 509c tactical with the vortex optic and it’s pretty disappointing. Worst trigger ever, the magazine jiggles around in it and it doesn’t even come with a plastic box it comes in a dinky little bag that protects nothing. can’t even dry fire it without a snap cap. Only comes with a 12 round and a 24 round mag these days also. They took the 15 rounder out of the equation. Bought a Canik like a week after for under 400$ and it is FAR superior!! Don’t waste your money! Unless you wanna spend 800$+ dollars on a pistol that needs a aftermarket trigger right out the box. Oh and alot of gunsmiths won’t even touch that job because it’s supposedly a real pain in the rear to get the pins out.

  • @UBRArsenal

    @UBRArsenal

    Жыл бұрын

    To each his own. Some people think this pistol is a good value, me included. I didn’t buy the one with the vortex optics. I bought the one without an optic and it came with almost every mounting plate you could ever need. Nobody else is doing that. Mine also came with three magazines 12, 15 and a 24. It comes with a threaded barrel, and Trijicon suppressor height sites. It’s rare that a pistol comes with suppressor height sites let alone a trust it name brand version. The list goes on and on. Bottom line is we all have to justify what’s worth it or not when purchasing a pistol. To your last point, I installed the Apex trigger myself with zero issues and I’m not a gunsmith. • @UBRArsenal

    So the 509 is going to be much larger than the mc9. So if you want something that will be easier to conceal, I’d go with the mc9. If you really like the 509, than you should check out the brand new FN Reflex. It’s a 509 but it’s thinner like the mc9. Either way try to shoot both to see which one you like more before you buy one. Let me know which one you end up with. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Have a great day. 👍🏼🤜🤛
