Best FMS Rafale video I've seen yet!!!

Ive been watching your videos for a long time, the opening of this one was hands down your best. This was also in many ways one of the best ones you have put out. Aside from this plane is excellent and you put it through its paces, it was a great display of how low you can go! Great job. This one has been on my purchase list for a while, looking forward to it when I can!

Awesome video! I’m sure a lot of people will benefit (not crash) from the info you provide. Too much jet for me right now but absolutely love watching the guys at the field pushing this one to the limits.

What is crow?

The crow is for your final glide slope you need steady throttle management but it really smooths out the landings

Thanks Ryan for the review. The chase footage is a big plus. Maidened mine last Sunday and looking forward to flying it again this Sunday. I’m not man enough to land it with flaps they look scary but it lands awesome with no flaps.

@@PilotRyanMedia last week I wired directly to my AR87360T using the FMS mixing board only for lights & gear, put the canards on their own channel set to 150% travel. The plane fly's better and rotates a lot better cause the canards have near twice the travel. I did not set up any flaps, it doesn't even need it.

Ryan, I honestly don't believe you really like this models flying characteristics. Aesthetically, she's a beautiful bird, but personally I think it's underpowered and it shows. You can't deny that. Although there is a guy out there who is working on an upgrade to the nozzles and reducing their output by 12% which should up the punch some. But there is no denying that the livery is gorgeous. Keep the videos coming bro.

I like the high alpha it can do. I’ve flown other Rafaels that had the thrust nozzle enhancements. Def made a difference for the better. I like the Raph

You have the coolest toys and I'm envious. That's a bad ass jet and you pilot with authority. Well done. I have owned two swept wing jets and I'm not that guy, had to sell them. My Draco is at the shop now and that's my thing STOL models. Your video made me commit and also another great video. No, it would need to be an equivalent rated Spektrum Smart esc to do that.

nice flight but whats up with the gear doors, do they open on their own when you touch down or is this and electronics problem???

After I noticed that I adjusted the endpoints to 120. Seemed to help

I think the Rafale is better in flight and on the bench. It’s much easier to setup. If you get one please consider using my link in the description. Thanks

10 flights on mine and its rapidly becoming my fave EDF. Extreme fun to throw it into tight turns, flips and high alpha yet it lands like a pussy cat. Great video PR, subbed.

Hey Ryan, great videos as always. I was curious how the Raf and the Jas-39 Gripen compare? I was lookin at the Gripen but you said in this video, the Raf is your favorite canard jet, how do they differ?

The RAF is a lot easier to set up. The grippen takes a lot of mixing.

What is crow used or intended for? Is it because this jet doesn’t have flaps?

Yes, but I’ve never flown another delta wing that has flaps. It flies better without for sure. Fun to try out but not a fan

@@DaveRS-me8bn yes, thanks for reminding me. If mine came with one I’m not using it. I put a ar637t in mine and set up as3x on 3 flight modes. Flight mode 1 is factory default . FM1 roll 40, pitch 50, yaw 60 FM2 roll pitch and yaw all set to 20 As3x gain. FM3 no As3x at all only triple rates. Fly high rate usually anyway. My triple rates are High Rate aileron 85, mid 85, low 70 Elevator 100, mid 85, low 70 Rudder 100, mid 85, low 70 25% expo all around.

For the million dollar question.... how well does it take off and land from grass? My club field is grass only for the runway.

Expo desensitizes the sticks around center which softens the controls, smoother inputs, smoother flight
