Great tips. I’ve got the glacier k10. Got those same wheels. Thinking about a new servo and a 1080 to replace the anemic setup that the glacier comes with. I have a roll bar for tge back as well, and was thinking about putting the tires in the back like that

I was gonna figure out some cup spacers for the shocks or get new longer shocks if I couldn't figure it out but I like your idea better, saves me money lol. I love how your truck looks without the bumper. I will invest in some new wheels tho.

Thanks, it works alot better without the rear bumper. Wheels and tires really take a vehicle to the next level.

If you took the springs out what is holding it up?

any links to wheels and tires suggestions?

With the higher suspension, the drive shafts don't come off?

I have run it alot and have had no problems w the driveshafts overextending or coming out.

Where did you get the longer screws for the shock relocation?

I have a pile of extra screws so i just pulled them from there. Sorry i dont have a link for u.

I'm doing the same to my truck. How did you take the shocks apart to get the springs off?

Never mind. I just figured it out. 2mm hex bolt inside the shock tube. :)

You can also unscrew the shock shaft from the bottom retainer.

Great! Excellent! I'm from Brazil, and I'm going to buy it. Do you know if it is possible to upgrade the engine to more torque? My desire is to have fun pulling some weights and carrying loads.

Hi marcelo, this truck is great but it does not have alot of of parts to choose from for upgrading. I havnt found a motor w the right screw hole pattern to fit this truck yet. There might be one from another truck but i do not know one yet. If u want to pull stuff or carry loads it will probably strip the gears out as well so im not sure this is a good choice for those activities.

@@obrothersrc Just add an adapter plate between the engine and the gear, which is matching the hole pattern at one side to the engine and at the other side to the gear.

I do not have any little guy tires so not sure. I am doing a video today on injora tires though. I will be showing the size difference compared to scx 24 and fms stock tires so that should give u a good reference point. I should have it up tomorrow

It is a 12 gram cheapo that is no longer available from amazon. I would recommend the emax servo if u want to upgrade. But u can find cheaper ones on amazon w a quick search.

By the way I noticed the emax is a 3 wire servo. How would you use that oppose to the 5 wire servo it comes with?

What size hubs to extend the wheels? Yours looks nice 👍🏼🥹

I did not use extensions, just use rc4wd 1.0 stamped steel and run them deep dish style to get a wide offset. i suggest getting the ones made by injora though. They are cheaper and easier to install.

Wish it came from the factory like this for an extra 75 bucks... Still it would be cool if you could link everything you used in the description to mod this beast.

E maxx is the best choice for micro servo. As far as the lift the answer is yes. I would recommend taking a look at the fms toyota hilux videos i have as well. They are the same except for the body.

I just think that on the front axle on the one side it’s a lot stiffer than the other Idk it just bothers me anyway to fix

You r correct. These older k-10s have allot of issues. Actually so do the new ones. I do not buy fms vehicles anymore.

Its just some generic tracks from imovie strung together. I dont remember what they are, but u can find them in imovie app.
