    Oh Jim I didnt explain good enough. I already went out to maiden mine and the rudder and elevator servos fell out on my take off. Yeah it was crazy. I lost a bit of confidence when that happened. That's why I made this comment. Ya it sucked pretty bad.

    Beautiful Tigercat, even though I have the Flightline, I really appreciate the gear on the FMS and the one battery, but really can’t imagine either out handling the other due to such good airframes on both birds, either would be a great choice for a next plane, thanks for sharing

    Jeff’s Custom RC There is a video on KZread where a guy had both the flight line and the FMS tiger cats and he flew both to do a comparison.From memory the FMS was the better of the two for several reasons, The only thing the flightline seemed to have over at the FMS was price and flight time, The FMS definitely had a tonne more power according to the reviewer-I will have to look it up and post the link here for you it was quite interesting watching because I always wondered which was the better value-that said though if you have not seen the FMS one in person you really won't appreciate what a work of art it is and how much they put into it, The undercarriage alone is a work of art with everything CNC machined.There is definitely a place in the market for both models but the FMS one I would say is definitely the one to get if you are a scale fanatic who loves scale detail because it even has every single rivet moulded into the foam.

    You want the descending blade to be toward the fuse. So props should spin inboard. Thrust will be along the fuse not outboard on the wings. Can you switch the props and reverse the motors? It would fly even better.

    I will order on line. I like the way it flys especially its slow speed handling. Is there plenty of room for an average size 6s 5000mah lipo? Does it sit all the way forward to achieve the proper CG? I also love the strong sturdy landing gear on this plane. I was tempted to buy the eflite t28 carbon x 2m plane but it has issues with the landing gear unlike this Tigercat. Hoping to get the silver one. Many thanks.

  • @PilotRyanMedia

    @PilotRyanMedia

    4 жыл бұрын

    It has become evident over much debate and speculation that FMS has configured Tigercats in about every rotation possible. Some inboard rotating from top, some outboard from top like mine and some where both are standard rotating not counter at all. We just followed the color coordinated wiring and ended up with outboard and installed the prop assembly’s accordingly. My book showed inboard but I followed the wires. Not to mention the Flightline p38 and early tigercats rotated outboard as well and were fine.

    @@PilotRyanMedia Ryan - I have one last question about rates. I have set up my Tigercat as you have shown above by percent. Then I measured the actual throws in mm and compared to the manual. All are very close except the elevator. The manual calls for Hi 24mm and Lo 20mm. Using your percents Hi is only 18mm and Lo is only 12mm. Did you purposely desensitize the elevator on your Tigercat for a reason? Thanks so much for your help!

    Hello Pilot Ryan! Is this the kind of bird that can be flown in 15 -20 mph gusting winds? I'm looking for something fast to fly when it's too windy for my jets.

    Kind of draggy but it can handle it. Power through the turns so the wind doesn’t steal your speed

    @@ChristopherF_1971 We're different lol, no question. I'd dump the nacelles and print a set of motor mounts to sit on top of the wing, of course no gear, would be a nice little belly lander. I bet it'd be super efficient with that narrow fuse.

    I just watched this again- don’t you just love zooming at the camera and then pulling up into an Immelman? And I think it’s really impressive that you can hear that plane whistling like a turbo charger as it comes in before you can even see it on the screen!
