Can someone explain why the economy is doing well, while at the same time the government is running a deficit?

The Government could care less about the average person, the US dollar will be impacted greatly in coming years but they like to pretend the economy is going good right now.

The economy appears to be slightly expanding. If that's true, then the neutral rate for Fed Funds has got to be close to or higher than the current Fed Funds rate which is 5.33%. Why would anyone be suggesting the Fed will reduce the Fed Funds rate this year? Lowering interest rates will stimulate the economy and inflation. Inflation is well about the Fed's 2% target. Watch what the Fed does, not what the Fed says.

The FED high priests divining interest rates is a fatal error, allow the market to set rates.
