Darn....as someone in 30s, I felt so old now listening back to this songs. Nostalgia hit really hard.

This anime remains to this day in my top 5. And the music is just phenomenal

Loved this show when I was 16 now I'm 32. Not many people I knew that watched anime watched this. Nevertheless, I did my first cosplay from this show at Anime North in Toronto, Canada. The music almost brings a tear to my eye.

Loved this show when I was 9 watching all of it on Netflix in 2010 an now I'm gonna be 22

Mikuni Shimokawa is the unseen but very much felt nexus of the series.

Perfectly captured energy and optimism of the late 90s/early 00s by KyoAni. Even if the song is slow or 'sad' it's uplifting. Mikuni's precise but still heartful singing helps a lot too. A joy to listen to even after two decades.

@@MrSlaughterrific I saw from a comment (related to these nostalgic Openings) That something really sad happened to the director of the anime and his crew due to a deranged arsonist. Looks like most of them died from the accident. It pains me to know that such a sweet anime cant and maybe will never be finished because of that person.

The fucking nostalgia 😭 Every weekend I used to spend my small allowance to rent a VHS, which only had 2 episodes (I think) and I cried after the final episode

Takes me back to the time I burned this on DVD to watch at my friends house.

In mikuni shimokawa's voice hides every remnants of every feelings I had in my adolescence.

I played these songs while working. It is uplifting - really changes your mood. Wow! I remember the lyrics ahaha

Sore Ga Ai Deshou was so good I had to look it up. Now that I know ALL the FMP intros are done by the same person, I think I have a favorite J-Pop artist.

3 seasons wasn't enough enough, this show was a masterpiece, mixing the harem-esc type of highschool anime with the action packed mecha style. This anime being the main reason funimation gotta be my favorite studio. and the soundtrack for the series, man what a masterpiece those are too, everything about this show is great

Funimation isn't a studio, just a licensor. They just stream it, kind of like Netflix does with movies. Gonzo is the studio that made the first season, Kyoto Animation is the studio that made the second and third seasons, and Studio Xebec made the fourth season.
