    Same man. Sometimes I used to feel that Alphonse would be more happier in that metal suit with his brother along. Rather than getting his body back and being alone. FMA: Brotherhood was more on the action track that they forgot about the feelings of each character

    This piece has such an air of destiny about it. I always get chills when Ed finally confronts Dante in the underground city. The unspoken back story to this piece is fascinating to consider. As the series progresses and Dante switches bodies, we hear her theme progress from antiquated phonograph, to mournful dirge, and finally this lovely waltz. You can almost picture Dante and Hohenheim dancing to this in the ancient city when they were still innocent lovers.

    There are several versions of this song. "Deep Forest" is a slower version without vocals. "Dante" is the same exact as Deep Forest, only with vocals. There is also "Commandment," but that one isn't slow like the other two I mentioned. Still a beautiful song nonetheless. And then there is "Revelation" which is kind of slow, but not really.

    EddyRandom10 I have gripes with the ending too, but I feel like the original series ending would have sufficed, and that Conqueror of Shamballa is unnecessary. Here's what I would have wanted from the ending: I wouldn't have had Ed and Al die together, but having them on different sides of the gate, vowing to find each other again would have done perfectly well. I would've had Archer die, instead of bringing him back with that ridiculous automail, and instead of having Mustang's subplot end like it did, would have him sacrifice his life to kill Bradley and save Selim. When Riza arrives at the house, she finds Selim, and Mustang tells her in his dying breaths to save him. Then, we go back to Ed and Al in the main plot. As Dante is trying to escape, I would have had her and Gluttony destroy each other, instead of Gluttony eating her and escaping. Then, for the final scene, I would have made it take place farther into the future. Instead of Riza helping Roy recover, we'd see Selim also in the military, following in Roy's footsteps. Riza is like a guardian to him, and he reminds her of a young Mustang. Everything afterward would be exactly as it was in the anime, except without Shamballa.

It's just from my experience, it is improbable. Their life spans are spastic. While a red rose will seemingly stay strong, and become larger. A white rose knows it's doomed from the start, evidently. The roots are talking to the nodes." Welp. We're #@€$**. Look forward to decomposing into topsoil. I'll lie dormant for months on end and make feeble attempts of creating the proper carbons for a red pigment". As an albino Tiger has a .00004% of reaching pubescent. Or tossing a Yorkie Poodle into the Appalachian. Hi! I'm terribly bored. I noticed your comment and wished to share in the delight of this score. It's the most captivating piece of 21st century symphony, I have had the pleasure of being introduced, thank you ADULT Swim. And I don't see a reason NOT to listen too it twice in a row...then twice in the evening. Three in the wee Hours because no one else is conscious. BUT as sparse as it has become currently. Back in 2008... Or nine? **** I am old. Ugh, yeah I listened to it at least a full day. I send you a digital high five, and a psychic wink of noetic proportion. You're not alone. I do not understand how it plucks my soul. And I don't think I care how to go about learning this. It's best not to understand sometimes. Or this is probably a hint of years an years of emotional abuse. The composer has stirred a synapses, and triggered a strain of memories that you've rehearsed so many times in succession. Should you attempt to place and articulate each one individually. It isn't so. Yet they're known. Does anyone read anymore? I hate to be that cliche' Fahrenheit 451 soothesayer. Aside from Ray Bradbury and his literary bad-ass. Call him Billy Bad-Ass. Here's this perception. Telepathy is a theory. What is the idea behind telepathy? That is what reading is, folks! Take away the mythos. It's probably not like Jean Grey homing in on Dr. Xavier's carbon organic blue tooth. If you wish to entertain that, it is because entertainment has a deeper etymology. Reading is telepathy, the logic is undeniable. I'm open to any an all hecklers, and my apologies for the memoir. Miss Rose, and no need to mention which type. Ahem. Your single paragraph said a lot to me, oh. Painfully obvious. I agreed to the channel for crying out loud! I've never attempted signing up here. Ever! What the hell is "Subscribing"? I Subscribed to you! Because, um. It was shiny like your comment. Shiny objects need undivided attention. Damn it. I like where your heads at musically. To me I prefered the 2003 ending of FMA than that of Brotherhood, as I felt that was more realistic. The two brothers went down a path where they knew there were repercussions for their decisions. And granted while they did ultimately get what they both wanted, (Edward getting Al's body back, and Al being reunited with Edward) they paid a hefty price for it, as they are unable to go back home. It's a harsh lesson, but this is ultimately what happens when one goes down the road they took. It's a bittersweet ending for the two that makes me develop a better appreciation of what the two went through and the sacrifices they made for one another.

    I think they're both pretty great villains for their own reasons. Dante's so beautifully petty and sure, Father is a little...flat, but that makes sense since he willingly sacrificed his personality to make himself a "perfect" being. And honestly, they're both pretty similar in that regard--they want to be "perfect", they see themselves as superior to humanity...it fits.

    @@N0rlight I did recently find a fanfic called "Another Journey" that basically blends the 2003 and Brotherhood animes into a single story. Dante replaces the Gold-Toothed Doctor in it and basically acts as Father's right-hand woman. So Father's still the "main" villain, but Dante's his partner in crime.

Given Dante's intentions for Ed when she switched bodies with Rose, what if she was manipulating things so Rose would keep _thinking_ that she loved Ed before transferring her soul into her body and raping him?

    @Saxon The 2nd Tbh, I don't think they ever established how old she is. I think the manga implied she was older than Ed, but they never mention by how many years (the dub of Brotherhood refers to her dead boyfriend as her "fiancee", but that might just be the translation). They definitely don't seem to establish an age in this series.

    My personal opinion alone. (Hopefully to be respected by the community) I started off the FMA with the original (2003) and I personally loved it, I hadn't seen a well made anime like this since Code Geass. I mean plot was good, but the characters/voice actors is what I fell in love with. (I did watch the dubbed for this, not sure if there is a subbed so I don't judge) Mainly Major Armstrong, Fuhrer Bradly, Mustang, Alphonse, and Edward. When I first heard about Brotherhood, I thought it would be a good & freshened up version of FMA. The sad part is the first episode the voice actors for Alphonse and Armstrong had been changed. Maybe it's a bit hard to understand, but when you fall in love with a character you fall in love with their voice, and when you change that it's like a whole different character. I just couldn't make it past the first episode, and maybe it's just my weak will for not doing so. I couldn't remember if Bradly and Mustang's actors were changed or not, so I would enjoy some clarification. I do plan on going back and finishing the series some day, for my code demands that I do so. So until then wish me luck!

    +Repper “The Reaper” Grim Frankly, you can just skip to the last episode of Season 1 or especially the first episode of Season 2 for Brotherhood. If the plot in Brotherhood does not grab you when it actually diverges, then I don't really know why you'd want to watch it. The different voices and art style stop being so bothersome after a while.

  • @rebeccar.p.1308

    @rebeccar.p.1308

    +Repper “The Reaper” Grim I know what you mean! But definitely give it a try again--I myself am more of fan of the original FMA, not just for the voice actors (which are AMAZINGLY talented) but also for the overall way things were presented. FMA made you really feel those characters come alive and took the time to let you get to know Ed and Al and the rest of the cast. I feel like Brotherhood was rushing through certain parts of the story because it assumes you watched FMA and you don't need a recap or something, and because of this, it made me feel less connected to the characters.That being said, though, Brotherhood is still really great! Once you're a few more episodes in, you start to really get into the plot and have more of a bond with the characters. And I promise you, Al's new voice is still very suited to him. It's different, just like the entire show is different, but his new voice mirrors the innocence that Aaron Dismuke brought to the first FMA. I miss Aaron Dismuke, especially when I think of how impeccable his voice acting was in Conquerer of Shambala, but give this new Al a chance! :) In short, go watch Brotherhood whenever you have free time! Good luck! :D

    I couldn't get into it for the same reasons you listed, but a now a couple years later I'm finally half way through brotherhood and trust me it's good! it helps if you haven't watched FMA in a while so that the voices of the characters are hazy. this soundtrack will always be superior though.
