A new FM99 tower is on the way. The old tower built in 1972 was damaged over the years by salt air and other weather elements. On Saturday, September 14 the tower came down to make room for a bigger and stronger FM99.

WOO! how close the antenna came from taking out the corner of the building.
Great footade but sad for the Tower, it would be nice for lattice climbing.
What a satisfying watch.

And somebody said, "Hey man, did you see that? That antenna hit the ground with such a beautiful thud" (tip 'o the hat to Bruce)

they are paid good money to make it fall like that.
So when will the new FM99 WNOR Tower be revealed?
Next time I go back to Norfolk traveling from North Carolina the new and better WNOR tower will be operating and also it'll have led lights too.🙂
They are all coming down one by one.
Was that the big stick just over the line in NC? I always thought if it fell it would be in 2 states.
