That car topple was dangerously impressive
I really miss the tv shows of the past a lot more enjoyable then the trash Hollywood creates today.
Donald Haines and Sunshine Sammy graduating from Our Gang to the East Side Kids. Donald Haines became a USAAF flyer during the war and was killed in action just about two years after this picture was made.
What a great little film. I remember watching Saturday morning serials featuring these actors. What memories. I love the accents. Real New York.

All the same guys just with different Names Muggs was SLIP Glimpy was Satch & so on.
Excellent. Almost doubled over when Scruno was buzzed from the gas lol I was waiting for it and wasn't disappointed. Mugs is the master of sarcasm and he says it with a sneer. When Huntz Hall joined the group it was a perfect match on screen.

I miss Bobby Jordan. I read that he and Scruno/ Sunshine Sammy Robinson were good friends on off the set. I read they all did their own stunts.

Your friend was smashed by an airplane. Wing, he'll be fine.
The best ever characters in the funniest scene of a 👍 featurette, the rest of it was 👍
Even though these kids, especially Mugsy, use hard words said incorrectly, you have to give them credit for using them correctly and trying to incorporate them into their everyday talk. You don't see kids ever doing that today.

In those days it was important to sound like you knew correct grammar & had an extensive vocabulary, because it was thought of as showing intelligence & a good education. Both were considered valuable, unlike these times when kids feel 'cool' if they can't string together a coherent sentence. What can you expect out of a generation where many can't even read an analog clock😂 Smh!
the airplane set kills me. those stools....
VERY FUNNY AT THE END showing the black boy with a white eye.
They were also the Dead End Kids & later the Bowery Boys but LUUUUUV the East Side Kids best :)
I remember this when i was a kid lol

I like how they just stand around in a.flying airplane , no seatbelts, just hold.your balance.
So if they are flying to the border which is it, Canada or Mexico. Either way quite a journey from New York City.
got some missing pieces
