Just wow, just realized I wasted 2 1/2 hrs on my bed viewing videos of travelers. I am 67, displaced in the USA after Irma and Maria took all I had in Puerto Rico. I feel like a fish out of water, and then the world changed! I am 67 and about to go to Guatemala with no plan for three months…thanks you! I can do this, I can and will enjoy!!!

I often wonder what it must be like to experience life as a man. To live in such a way, surrounded by your bros, free to go about as you wish. As a little girl I used to get so mad at my mom for not letting me go out to wander around with the boys, and while I don’t wish to live as such, seeing this video makes that experience seem all the more special. Thank you for sharing.

The difference is, that men are getting raised to ste over their own shadow and woman are not. But if you actually want to, nothing holds you besides your own fear.

When I was 19 I took a solo trip to Peru with no plan just like this. It was probably the best trip I’ve been on in my life and I learned so much about myself and the person I want to become through it. This video captures that feeling of adventure and sense for wanting to get the most out of life so well. Excellent content

I sorta did this last year, July 2023. I had a solo-trip to Peru to see Macchu Picchu but nearly everything else I did was unplanned and in the moment. The experience that I had, the cities I explored, the trails I hiked and climbed, the people I met, and the sights I had the pleasure and privilege in my life to witness were worth their weight in gold, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. If there's a place to really explore and discover in that way, it's without a doubt Peru. It is such an unbelievably beautiful and special country. And Alex I'm glad you enjoyed Cusco as well, my time in that city is a highlight that I put up there with finally reaching Macchu Picchu

I would love to experience that kind of freedom at least once in my life, to explore new places and meet people spontaneously. The idea of being able to say, "I want to go here, and I will," is something I dream about. But as an immigrant from a poor family with high expectations of me, juggling my studies and work keeps me from achieving this freedom. I know the power to make this happen is within my reach, but life is a complicated maze of mismatches I hope that amidst all the chaos, I will find the freedom I so deeply desire.

It changed my life and I don't throw that expression around a lot! Just thinking about it gives me nostalgia! This one kept getting recommended to me by KZread time and time again hahaha and finally I decided to watch it! I don't believe it was just a mere coincidence! Thank you for reminding me that this world is in a league of its own when it comes to beauty! Soon enough I'll pack my bags and move from Brasil to the USA! I need to, my soul craves for novelty after leaving my bedroom this year and finding out about life's greatest gift: the people and the nature! Great video, brother!

Wow, this video really captures the essence of inner struggles and finding one's path in life. The portrayal of the young man, seemingly lost and insecure yet seeking something deeper, is so poignant. It's like he's searching for authenticity amidst the noise of modern life. And the symbolism of him listening to an old song on a Walkman, wanting to escape the present but also longing for connection, is just brilliant. But what I love most is the message of hope and growth woven throughout. Despite the initial confusion, he finds his way to happiness through giving and love. Truly inspiring! 🙌

I think I must have teared up at least five times throughout the movie (it’s so beautifully filmed that it feels like one) while smiling at the screen like a little kid. I could really connect to the narration and just the feeling of pure excitement to be alive. Travelling just brings that up, even more so exploring with very little expectations and the willingness to take in everything the experience’s got to give. Thank you for reminding me of it!! The last time I did something like this I was volunteering in Costa Rica and it was the experience of a lifetime. Also, awesome music choice

Alex, that was incredible. I don't even know where to start. I'm convinced that every time I would watch the film again I'd notice new things that'd leave me completely amazed. The music in every scene seems so perfectly fitting, it really emphasizes the desired atmosphere! Can't imagine how long you spent on spotify to find the songs. And also the composition of all scenes together seemed so natural, not once did my "watch flow" got interrupted, just because they work so well together. But what I loved the most, besides the really good color grading and amazing storytelling, were the scenes in which you introduced a "new chapter". The title in that cinema kinda font + once again the music just created the feels of watching a movie. Probably because we were, you can't call it a youtube video anymore. That was a documentary. A captivating and amazingly executed documentary. I'm so looking forward to see your future projects! Greetings from Germany✌️

Hey Alex! Cool video. Conveniently forgot to mention that: 1. The tourist infrastructure surrounding Machu Pichu (train to Aguas Calientes, bus to the ruins, tickets), is, from what I was told in Cusco, owned by a Chilean oligarch. The profits from your trip to Machu Picchu completely bypassed the people of Cusco. In fact, many native Cusquenos that I talked to during my time there had actually never seen Machu Picchu because it is a), too expensive and b), there are so many foreign tourists that they are unable to get tickets even if they were able to afford them. 2. Lake Humantay is not at the top of a mountain. You did not "explore the Peruvian Andes" to reach it. It is roughly a mile from the hostel that you stayed at. In fact, the top of the trail is visible in most of your shots from Soraypampa. 3. Roundtrip flights to Lima from the US are upwards of 1200 dollars most times of the year. Though I had some others, these are my main issues with your video. I myself did a very, very similar trip to Lima and Cusco with my two of my friends over Christmas. I stayed at the same hostel as you at Soraypampa. I did the same hike to the lake. I'm not trying to be a hater on your trip. I did basically the same one, and it was awesome! Good on ya for going. I just really, really wish that you had kept it real and not spun it into something that it's not. Let the mountains speak for themselves. You don't need to narrate lies over them, telling people how big of an adventurer you are, and how one can live an adventurous life without spending a lot of money, when in fact you aren't really adventuring, and you are actually spending quite a bit of money. It just seems fake, and honestly hypocritical considering the philosophies that you are claiming to live by in this video. Again, not trying to be a hater or spread bad vibes. I loved Cusco, I loved Soraypampa, and I love that you went to these places. Your cinematography is super sick. You guys honestly seem like a super chill group to hang out with. Just please think twice before posting something like this. While you may get overwhelmingly positive comments from people who have not been to the places that you have been, or have not had many travel experiences, the reality is that those of who have know the truth: you are capping.

Bro just live life. This guy made an amazing video about adventure and having a good time with his friends. Breathe and just live a positive life bro, you don’t have to be a critic and hate on others who are just chasing their dreams. It’s sad that your response to such a great video is to just pick it apart and call someone a liar. Shame on you

As a peruvian I must admit I sometimes watch videos of people visiting my country to learn from their experiences, to relearn how to appreciate my beautiful country when I’ve already given up on it. I’m glad you guys had so much fun. Ps: I believe in Lima you stayed in a hostel in Barranco, it is quite close to my house, so hopefully you guys also partied in La Plaza de Barranco (however from the date you released the video I can tell El Puente de los Suspiros was closed, quite a beautiful sight in the district)

0:26 Absolutely agreed. It's the "gaining conscious" meme everyone uses. The faster you realize that you can do whatever you want in life the more things you will be able to experience. A small effect of this is like deciding your career path in HS. The person who already knows what his interests are and has developed skills in it, knows what to do next and the loop keeps going whereas its so much harder to do something once you get older.

As a young woman from a conservative country and judgemental society, this is all I have ever wanted to do.. Go out with a bunch of friends and explore new countries. The end was superb too! Thank you for showing me the good, fun side of having chill bros. Sending you love from India (Bharat) 💟
