This is great. I just started thinking about doing this while sailing my Sunfosh and Hobie for my channel. Good inspiration.

I recently worked with Yves Gélinas to transfer his award winning solo sailing film to HD "Jean Du Sud" (coming soon to the sailing channel - I have no financial interest, did it to help get his work of art restored) in which he did this solo in 16mm film. Wonderful to see it updated in your efforts!

We are working on flying our Go Pro to watch our sailing tech. Love the Go Pro!

Maybe next time you should put both of the wing spars down to the tips. The kite will fly better!

Please tell what kite as will be the best for me when I sail. Is this the best kite you use? Where can I buy it and is there some modifications I have to do? What camera do you use?

Next time, just leave at least 50' to 75' of kite line to set aloft the camera. This helps avoid side to side motion at the video will look almost motionless. I love your sailboat. It looks like lots of fun !!! Happy New Year from Florida !!!! (Dec. 31,2014)

why did you not mount the camera direct too the kite? what was the reason to have it hanging below ? did this not create excess camera movement ? Did you use a go pro ?

I really like what the drones can do. When your on an Island or at sea you can now look around from high up WOW. Get one to drop some stuff on pirates too :-)

It would help if you would put the kite together correctly.

It would be cool if a quadcopter drone could be programmed to automatically to fly up and take pictures of what's over the horizon for you :)
