I really want to see the Flying Scotsman, but I'd have to fly from the eastern coast of the U.S. to get there! I even told my parents, before I graduate high school, I want the three of us to go the locomotive in person!

That is a very special day for you to remember for life. The very first time I saw Flying Scotsman in action and rode behind her was on the East Lancashire Railway back in October 2016.

Excellent action pack video of Flying Scotsman in action on Swanage Railway Oliver 👍😉 I went to see the famous engine in action at Swanage yesterday and I really enjoyed it.

Sonny Jim Coggin I saw tornado at the nene valley railway just by chance because she had been repaired there and needed to do a certain amount of miles before she could go on the mainline.

The A3 may not be my favourite engine but was such a privilage to work on the footplate of it in August 2018, can really appreciate the history and the work they've put into getting it back and running

Did you actually know that the famous locomotive designed by Sir Herbert Nigel Gresley known as the Flying Scotsman just so obviously happens to be Gordon the Big L N E R class A0 pacific type of steam-driven railway tender locomotive's only sole-surviving brother? It's completely obviously 100% true SINCE that's basically what I personally found out through some research!

Sadly I first met Scotty when he had a hot box issue from Ely to norwich in 2017. Then met him again where rode behind on the NVR, and now, 30th May, my first Mainline trip behind Flying Scotsman from London. :D cannot wait! :D so glad Tornado is back too

4472 flying. Scotsman do the southern Cab forward

they didn't *need* to preserve this engine, or any in that matter, they could have just let steam die, but that's not what happened. People saw the engine and saw the sheer history in steam and tried their hardest to keep them running for as long as they can.
