Flying over the Misty Fjords, Ketchikan, Alaska
Have you ever wanted to watch a grizzly with her cubs in her environment? How about landing on the water and being able to stand on a marshy island that very few people will ever go to? We checked this one off our bucketlist, flying over Alaska through the river valleys, meadows and to the top of mountain to see goats climbing to the peak. This is absolutely something that needs to be done when traveling to any part of Alaska. One tip that we can suggest is to travel in the late afternoon to get a view of the sun as its starting to set. Most of the cruise lines that come into Alaska will take you out in the morning- which is not ideal. Check with Salmon Falls Resort when you are doing your all inclusive fishing tour with them and they can set you up.
This is such an amazing excursion to do in Alaska- do not miss out on this opportunity when visiting Alaska.

We just returned from an Alaskan cruise…highly recommend! Unfortunately, there was a seaplane crash on 5 Aug 2021 at Misty Fjord that killed 5 cruise passengers and the pilot. The weather was terrible and I’m sure it will be found to be the cause of the accident. Be aware of the weather conditions before you take one of these trips.

The conjuncture is that it was a controlled flight into terrain. They will fly a charter with one mile visibility. You should insist on only going if you get 3 miles visibility.
We love Alaska it is so pretty.

Here from the Netherlands ... this is really great .. and this is real life , really very beautiful I have been flying in the area for years with all kinds of flight simulators I hope one day I can spend my life there

@@scottsdaletravelchick thx for the response but I've been to the Keukenhof recently I live near Rotterdam Alaksa has always attracted me just like BC ( Stewart / Bella Coola environment ) Fly in Flightsim very often there, the whole west coast is also nice to do in Flightsim also have a lot of paid addons for it currently also flying a flight from klawock to Bella Coola .. Hahaaaa my hubby and I are thinking...this must've costed a fortune but I guess 250-300 $ pp is well worth the price 👌🏽

This just came up in my recommendations after I watched a video recapping the fatal accident of a plane that took this same trip on August 5th. If the weather is questionable, don't go. The channel is the Blancolirio channel.

Such a terrible accident for those people, I agree if the weather is questionable then absolutely do not go its not worth it. We were fortunate with our excursion.
