    Addendum in the new year (01.01.2022): I hope you all had a happy new year. I am still a little tired of it, but happy. I'm glad that the video a little bit like. The next few days it goes to the planning for the next video project 2022. Maybe you have ideas and suggestions? I am already looking forward to it. There are so many beautiful places on our planet, as long as they are not changed too much by us humans. If only Corona wasn't there and made everything difficult. Thank you very much for your comments! And as Vulcans like to say: Live Long and Prosper Last year (30.12.2021): Hello my friends and happy new year!!! The Best Comes Last :-) best wishes Stefan

    Hi Don, after so much work it's great to hear that. I am really pleased. You think a lot about which motifs you're going to film, you have a lot of ideas, film editing, music, but also the weather influences the future film. In the end, you never know how the viewer will accept it. Post-processing also takes a hell of a lot of time in the meantime, so you don't have to compromise on image quality. Drones up to 1 kg are already very good, but they also have their limits in terms of image quality. Even larger sensors and lenses would make the drones very large and heavy. But all this must also somehow fit into the backpack and so it is always a compromise of handling and image quality. Happy new year. Greetings Stefan

    Hello to Amsterdam, Thank you. But please go to Iceland anyway. It is such a great country and should not be missed. I'm sure you'll like it even more than the movie I made. To feel the nature, the wind and the cold on your skin, or warm sunbeams that may break through the cloud deck, or the strenuous climb to the volcano, that no film can really convey. Greetings from Germany Stefan

    @@Stefan.Zimmermann Yes, I'd like to. 🙂 Iceland is beautiful country. But next time I'd like to go around the whole island, to the east, north and west. I think it's possible. But other country what is amazing is middle west of USA. Really I have to recommend you this land and give you a few tips. For example, Utah - Goblin Valley State Park, Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Natural Bridges National Monument, Moki Dugway with Valley of the Gods, Goosenecks State Park, Monument Valley - this park is on the border of Utah and Arizona. Then in Utah is as well very beautiful Bryce Canyon National Park - I recommend, especially for photographers and Zion National Park. Arizona - Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend and of course Grand Canyon National Park. Nevada - Lake Mead National Recreation Area together with Hoover Dam and Las Vegas. California - Sequoia National Park, Yosemite National Park, Bodie State Historic Park, Death Valley National Park etc. There is lot of places to visit, depends how much time you have. :-) OK, See you.

LG, Martin

    Hello Benz0, there is really a lot of time in such videos. Preparation, location scouting, getting flight permits, the journey and hikes to the locations, the weather unfortunately often does not play along, waiting for the right position of the sun (but is planned), the actual filming and the video editing after the trip. Some ask me if that would not be total stress :-) Honestly, I totally recover in the process. To discover the amazing landscapes of our earth, to meet new people, in general the many new impressions.... You feel super free and deeply relaxed. Just sit on the mountain and enjoy the panorama and nature for hours. But also watching a thunderstorm from a distance or a sunrise can give you goosebumps. For me, there is hardly anything more beautiful. My passion. Best regards Stefan

    Hi Ton, I'm glad to hear that. I've been thinking about this for a long time and what cut length I'll use for each clip. I really wanted to change that compared to my previous films. If the cuts are too short, it becomes hectic, can't enjoy the content anymore. If the cuts are too long, it becomes boring. I am glad that my decision had worked out very well. It was also a new experiment for me. The disadvantage of so many faster cuts is that you need a lot more footage and varied motifs. That makes the films more and more elaborate. But what is life without a challenge? :-) Happy new year and greetings from Germany Stefan

I've been using this software myself for ages to download my videos and I don't think there's anything better for this purpose. It allows me to save a very space-saving version on my smartphone. Even though the name might not suggest it, the software is absolutely reputable. It does display a little advertising, but it's free. But you can also buy it and switch off the advertising. You can then download it to KZread, even in 4K, and watch it in a relaxed way, even if your internet connection is too slow for 4K live streaming. www.4kdownload.com

You can see the team and who participated in which films under this link: www.naturerelaxation.com/collections/nature-relaxation-collaborators-collection I think Iceland is unique in the world, the very varied nature and landscape so concentrated on one spot is rare. And the Icelanders really appreciate their nature. You can really look forward to this trip! It is such a special country. 4 weeks ago I was on a cruise myself, but in the Mediterranean, small holiday :-) Soon it's on to Norway, high up north, for a new film. I'm really looking forward to it. The northern countries in Europe are all still very pristine in terms of landscape, not so built up or remodelled. Here you can still enjoy a lot of real nature and freedom. Don't forget your camera and some seasickness tablets (just to be on the safe side). Say hello to your father for me. I'm a bit envious... Have the best trip! Let's see when I will visit Iceland again! In retirement with a motorhome, that would be something :-) Kind regards Stefan

    @@Stefan.Zimmermann No problem at all. You are welcome. 👍 Some of those places which are in the video I have visited with friends so I knew them. What we really enjoyed was Snæfellsnes peninsula. Village Stykkishólmur was so quiet, only local people there. It remained me those little villages in Norway, above arctic circle. Then we drove around the whole peninsula and Kirkjufell Mountain was as well beautiful together with Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall, then Ingjaldshólskirkja church in the middle of nowhere, near is the village Hellissandur. Saxhóll Crater was as well interesting and from other side of peninsula is very nice village Arnarstapi. I remember, there are restrictions on drones on some places of Iceland, so maybe you have visited many more of spots, but flying wasn't possible there. And as well I understand to those restrictions, because really some places are very crowdy with people, especially those well known, for example golden triangle - Thingvellir, Strokkur Geysir, Gullfoss Waterfalls.

    Vielen lieben Dank Marina. Man benötigt Wochen, teilweise Monate an Vorbereitungen.

    you were able to flight DJI drone at all the areas? no problems with zone flight security location?

  • @Stefan.Zimmermann

    @Stefan.Zimmermann

    2 жыл бұрын

    You need months of preparation. Unfortunately, you can't answer that in just a few sentences. I would have to explain the specific characteristics of each place. For some places you can apply for permits, but they are not always released, partly it depends on the season. Other prohibited zones, on the other hand, are very small and therefore not so tragic. With a zoom on the drone and the software Video Enhance AI (belongs to the world's best algorithm for magnification), you can film even from greater distances, still maintain the filmqquality, so as to be outside the prohibited zone. Neure drones like the DJI Mavic 3 with 7x zoom show where the journey goes in the future. Entry level drones for example will have a hard time in certain areas in the future. Some of my clips were created with a CableCam (simulates a drone, or tracking shot). Most viewers probably didn't even notice it, I think. Let's take this spot from the video as an example: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iatotbevg5WehdI.html Here is large-area flight ban because of the birds and breeding grounds. Without CableCam one would have to do without the recording. For the CableCam a rope (Dyneema) with a few hundred meters, e.g. on rock cliffs is tightened. Dyneema ropes are insensitive to moisture, grease and oil, extremely light, weather resistant, acid resistant, has almost no elongation and an extreme tensile strength. Steel ropes would not be stronger or better in comparison here, but much more cumbersome to handle and also much heavier. Unfortunately, these Dyneema ropes are crazy expensive, but there is no better material. When you see such a rope for the first time (looks like a thin clothesline) you have no confidence in it at all :-) I always have a laser range finder to avoid unrolling the rope unnecessarily, only to be annoyed 15 minutes later that it was perhaps too short after all. A remote-controlled camera sled then rides on it. The camera control and the video image is also done by radio. The last clip in the video Stykkishólmur was made directly at the end of the no-fly zone. If I would write here for example, one can fly without problems, this could have fatal consequences. Only 200 meters more towards the harbor, the no-fly zone begins. So I don't want to make any statements without writing everything in detail, which again takes a lot of time. But a few tips that are really uncomplicated I want to give but quickly still (at least as of 2021): Háifoss Gunnuhver thermal springs Fagradalsfjall Volcano Kleifarvatn Fjarðarárgljúfur Sólheimajökull glacier Reynisfjara beach Hjörleifshöfði Kvernufoss Stokksnes (private/barrier), but possible against payment. Hvalnesviti (secret tip and only interesting for drones!) Hagavöllur Fardagafoss Hengifoss Stuðlagil Canyon And many many more! There are still many uncomplicated places in Iceland. I hope that helps you a little bit and takes away the fright?

    did you mount a gopro on top of DJI FPV? the quality is too good for DJI

  • @Stefan.Zimmermann

    @Stefan.Zimmermann

    2 жыл бұрын

    This was with the DJI FPV and internal camera. But it took me a lot of time to polish up the material. You can't get much more quality out of it. All clips had to be stabilized on the PC and that is still not perfect. DJI's Rocksteady is unfortunately much too bad compared to Reelsteady from GoPro. I will never invest so much time in post-processing again. After the Iceland video, a GoPro 10 was packed on the FPV and here the stabilization is perfect. With the new Reelsteady 2 you can finally stabilize in real time on the PC. Example: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z4GIo89vhNmueqg.html Another tip if you want to use the GoPro: f too few or no satellites are available, the FPV will just hover. You can only fly up and down, but no longer sideways. The manual mode also no longer worked here. The shielding of the GPS receiver for illegal flights can not be bypassed in this way. Otherwise, you could fly like this in a no-fly zone. If another external camera is mounted, the electromagnetic field of the camera will adversely affect the GPS of the drone. You can build a shield with different metals. For example, copper can be used to shield the electric fields, and nickel can be used to shield the magnetic fields.
