This is a first for my channel, a review of a water and land mode of transport - That rights i'm be travelling onboard the only remaining year round Hovercraft service in the ENTRE WORLD! This video shows exactly how to take this service and my experience of this truly UNIQUE Service.
Hovertravel is now the world's OLDEST hovercraft operator, and this service is believed to be unique in western Europe. Hovertravel has claimed that it is the world's only commercial passenger hovercraft service.

AMAZING Rob!!
I travel by Hovercraft all the time for weekends on the island and very often, combined with return train travel it is very reasonable. Used to travel by giant hovercraft to France, so this always makes me reminisce on the speed and uniqueness of this mode of transport! Always a sense of excitement!

You're right, riding onboard this Hovercraft is a truly exciting and unique experience. I found my first trip to the Isle of Wight onboard to be a fantastic adventure.

I once used this service about 8 years ago. It was however an AP1-88, form the now defunct British Hovercraft Corporation. I was impressed with the speed and thrill. But I did use the SRN4 from Dover to Calais quite a few times. such a shame this mode of transport is under appreciated. An area, I believe Hovercraft could be useful, is on the inter-island service in Hawaii. they tried using catamarans, but had to stop the service, as it was killing the dolphins and whales.

I know it's very unusual that given there unique capabilities this is the ONLY Commercial Hovercraft ferry service in the ENTRE WORLD! Thanks for Watching!
Goes to show last time I crossed the Solent, as haven't ridden on the new hovercrafts. and last time I caught it was because of bad weather on the island, so looking for something to do, so we caught the hovercraft to the mainland mainly because my one friend had never been on a hovercraft before, so was his first time on one. back then it was around the £20 each.
Always wanted to ride on the hoover boat to the Isle of Wight.
