Really good vid. You’re a good sportsmen to leave that nice tom in the tree. Hope you get to chase him again. It’s good for you and the pups that you gave yourselves the chance by not harvesting this magnificent cat. Btw, I like the look of your hounds, too (though I’m a Bluetick & Redbone kind of guy); they did a very nice job. Good camera work, too. I stink at photography so it’s nice to see someone do it well.

@@jq7323 Looks like two Treeing Walkers (the black spotted dogs on white) and an English hound or a cross breed (the speckled dog).

Well done but why don’t you leave that magnificent animal alone? Life is surely difficult enough for him/her ? If it should get injured while running from your dogs, it could easily perish not able to hunt effectively. Find another outlet for your time and dogs…

Too late, the dogs don't know anything else, this is what they were raised for. This is also good for the animal. Natural selection is good. A mountain lion that can't outrun a hound dog, and gets injured enough while running to die from it wouldn't have been good for mountain lion genetics. At least let us not fuck up the gene pool of animals please, we already have enough lost causes because of hereditary shit in our species.

Really cool experience of wildlife in nature there. Would never have happened if someone had killed this cat earlier.

Again the cat is minding its business and resting. On his own property being intimidated by three hound dogs. For what reason I ask? For a sport? Thank God he didn't shoot her.

Intimidated by 3 hound dogs, the next day that same cat slowly ripped the spine out of a rabbit and watched the life drain from its eyes. Not cruel, that's just nature. Grow up, accept it, this keeps the lion on its toes, they're constantly in the shit surviving and this gives them much needed reminders to continue staying on their toes. They have no concept of feeling bad from this lifestyle of waking up to leave their den and hunt for food. It's just what they have to do. If he just shot the cat it wouldn't have learned anything. This can also help it become fearful of any dog, so people passing through don't have to worry about their non hunting dog getting hurt or killed because the lion is actively avoiding it. Would also mean it actively avoids the people. Actually, how is this not good? Keeping the lions away from people and teaching them humans are scary, with these tiny devils that bark up a storm and run fast? You can't stop people from moving from point A to point B, if you haven't lived in Alaska you wouldn't be able to tell where nature begins and civilization ends. To leave nature alone there, is to never leave your home whatsoever and just starve.
