Manchester was worse for me, also Budapest airport going in was a mess... Birmingham was actually my favourite.

Great video again. Your narrating get better all the time. I've only ever flown from Luton once, but your video is very disturbing when you see there is no social distancing. Stay safe on your travels and thanks for yet another great video. Oh and wow..what a cheap price too hey!

Great video Jamie! I flew Wizz Air too recently, thankfully my flights did not have a delay but can imagine how frustrating it was, especially at a cramped Luton... With regards to your APU question, many airlines have a policy where they do not start the APU during re-fueling, so I imagine the aircraft was running on Ground Power at the stand and they did not start the APU until the aircraft had been fully re-fueled.

@@JTsJourneys It was the pilots choice because there is no rule stating that they are not allowed to turn it on during refuelling. Next time just advise the cabin crew that it is too hot and they will try to make it more comfortable for you by telling the pilots to use the APU.Wizz pilot here.

@@JTsJourneys one very small suggestion. I really love the views especially the night lights, if there's any chance you could record the dark scenes at 1/24 exposure (instead of 1/30 or 1/60, you might be able to get some extra light on the sensor and also lower the iso just a tiny bit for a clearer image). And regarding the like/subscribe big contrasty signs, they would be much better if they were more subtle either at middle down or a corner of the screen. Appreciate the video! keep it up, very clean and on point

@@JTsJourneys iphones came a long way haha. Try to get a free manual camera app. I tried it on an old iphone 5 and i can set a fixed exposure and focus on it. It.s pretty amazing!

Great vid, I know exactly what you mean about boarding but not boarding on that staircase. Last flew out of Luton 4/5 years ago, was able to skip the long queue at the gate, only to be stuck on the staircase in which it was pretty warm during the summer. There isn't really a comfortable way to escape the monotonous boarding process that I've found, using Wizz Priority just led to waiting at a different location.

Exactly that! Priority just means a cabin bag half the time these days, and the less time you can spend onboard the better

Nice video, Luton does look so crowded, its such a shame how they cannot manage it. I'm off to Thessaloniki in a few weeks with them from Luton , it will be the aircraft's first flight of the day so hopefully out on time... My next flight is to Faro and that is an afternoon flight and will be its 3rd rotation. Still really exited to be flying again though! Are the crew friendly? Debating whether to ask them for a fight deck visit when we land in SKG as love the Airbus flight deck!

You can’t have apu on during fuelling because the hot air from the apu at the back of the aircraft will set fire to the fuel tank.

Fuelling with the APU on, or staring the APU during Fuelling isnt a risk as the APU exhaust is too High out the way from the Fuelling trucks, this was normal for all AC we fuelled at LLA, and is the same for where I fuel now.

The APU is used over ground power at the moment as the bleed provides better air circulation in the cabin.

It’s changing all the time right now. Your best place to check is the UK gov website for the departure requirements, and the gov website of the place your going to for their entry

The APU is usally turned on before pushback because of either airport regulations or to minimize the fuel consumption and no the apu can t be turned on while fueling is done

As someone who is cabin crew at Luton airport I do have to agree unfortunately. Security is always a nightmare especially now you have crew and passengers using the same one! There is never any social distancing in the airport because all the bars/restaurants are still closed, the other shops and duty free are open but only earlier in the day so if you have a late flight be prepared for this. (we try out best on the planes and unlike Wizz EZY do enforce it for disembarking to PA's etc) About the APU thing you can use it during refuelling but Wizz are a well known for this, you can have it on while refuelling but they don't want to waste fuel on aircon.

Hi TK, Im very surprised that during this current situation that they dont let crews use Gate 5 the same as the Tui crews and the fuellers.

I absolutely love Luton airport. In defense of Wizzair it should be noted they are growing at incredible speed and so is Luton Airport, hence why they will be improving the terminal facilities. In regards to social distancing; if it was enforced by both all the airlines and all UK airport operators, they would all be closed down! Luton Airports growth is due to its popularity which has resulted in its passenger share of all the London Airports having the highest percentage increase each year. Due to Covid some develpments are on hold. However during the lock downs, Wizzair maintained some flights from Luton and all these months later...London Luton Airport has the distinction of being the third buisiest Airport in the UK during many months of the year!

when I took this flight and made this trip over a year ago, the world was in a very different place, unfortunatly the experience didn't meet the expectations that I had, and despite flying on other airlines at the same time, Wizz came out bottom. The airport certainly improved with the terminal extention, and as I've maintained, outside of covid times last year, it generally meets what I'd expect, especially when flights are so cheap.

Did you need to print off ur boarding pass or could you just show the email proof on ur phone?

Hello, it depends which boarding pass you have. If you're getting it from their website you'll need to print it, however if you download the app and access your boarding pass from there, you can show it on your phone

Come to think of it, Heathrow has those passenger experience people, a bit like Gatwick, but i've never seen anything like that at Luton

And I thought that only in Italy we could be so dumb to not let passengers sit on all the available space... “tutto il mondo é paese” (the whole world is a town) we would say. Lovely review by the way, have a nice stay in Milan

What’s more uncomfortable, Luton airport or Ryanair? I don’t find Ryanair to bad, my expectation isn’t for first class so they do a good job of delivering what you pay for

It was okay actually when I visited, nice and easy (this was pre Brexit though)

You should fly now from Luton (22.01.2021.). Staff is very happy to see any people at the airport. And passengers (me) was very happy to have any flight to be able to go home. I would pay £200 to have just one flight with Wizz. Price still was acceptable and was Wizz air too.

Never flown out of Liverpool, it's on my list to get to. I've flown Wizz many times and only had two big delays with them. This particular trip was just thing after thing not going right or not meeting my expectations.

I can confirm that Fuelling can be done while the APU is running, this is normal, from my time there, I believe the late Fuelling would have been due to the Furloughed work staff at the fuelling company and as a result extremely short staffed. also from my time there (This may have changed) the fuelling company would normally give priority to "on time" flights and fit in the delayed inbound at the next opportunity providing all other on time flights were completed. again, this is only from my experience being with said company before Furlough and redundancy.

I will be flying to Luton London , from my Country on December and i am using WizzAir only cause this one is the only that is the closest to my destination. I hope it goes well! I have full hopes, i might go back home with a different flight if possible :), but for arriving ill use this one!

Stick to Brighton, recently flew Luton to Tenerife, air Ine could not be faulted.

Agree, outside of the time I took this trip the airport always met my low expectations, but during the the summer of 2020 it really failed to deliver.

Dont complain. It's a small airport. Pre covid wizz air was running like a clock work. Flights fdo. Gatwick are being cancelled eveey day. Luton doesnt have that problem.

The airport isn't anything special but serves a purpose. In normal times the airport meets what I expect, however when I took this trip last summer, it really failed to deliver. It's also pretty difficult to call Luton airport 'small' when in 2019 it handled over 18million passengers... maybe the terminal is too small to handle that number?

@@annamahree7340 agree with the on time bit, Luton does seem to have better on time performance, particularly since the extended the taxi way reducing the need to backtrack the runway. Gatwick pre pandemic was awful for getting away on time, they really need a second runway there

As a refueller at luton. I can say that the reason the refueller wasn't at your aircraft could be and most likely was. Your flight was an hour late to stand! We work on the principle, that we won't make a flight, that's on time late. To service a flight that is late.I hope that you will understand that! Yes the APU can be run with refuellering!!

That's the problem I have, awful experience, but low price, starting to think the cheap ticket isn't worth it to endure Luton anymore.

Thanks :) the seat pitch on this one did feel tight - I think it's 28 inches on Wizz vs around 30 on Ryanair - you can really feel the extra 2 inches
