FYI, Garuda Indonesia with PK-GIG registration, pesawat ini merupakan pesawat yang digunakan presiden indonesia untuk kunjungan kerja ke eropa, amerika, middle east, beberapa bulan ini PK-GIG memang lebih sering terbang ke amsterdam .

Yess unfortunately no skybridge!! The woman was very sweet and in Jakarta she got special help ☺️ only in Amsterdam my mother helped the woman too climbing up the stairs!. 🤍

I flew AMS-CGK back in 2017 with Garuda Indonesia and it's a very long journey indeed. Got asleep and woke up several times, and confused how can we're not arrived yet 😅 Very satisfied with their meals and cabin crews' service, and they'll be even greater when they finished updating their IFE. Overall a good choice for long haul flight, and great trip report you have here as well 👍

Same! Last time I flew with GA was in 2018, but that time i was able to sleep half of the journey, i think because this time we had several turbulences and 2 hours before landing heavy turbulence which made me even more awake.. the meals and cabin crews always surprises me! Thank you😄

Thank you!! Ofcourse i went eating at warungs 🧑🏽‍🍳 lalapan/pangsit are my favorite meals to eat!! My mom and I went to talk with all different local people (Surabaya, Bali, Yogyakarta, Solo & Malang). I captured most of it, but also enjoyed staying here without capturing anything🫶🏽

I’m from Germany and I’ve booked the same flight end of August. This is my first long haul flight and tbh I don’t know how it’s gonna be. Do you have some advice for me? Like essentials, hyginiec things etc? And what is garuda Indonesia like? How was the service? Thank you and much love ❤️

Wow! I hope you will enjoy your first long haul flight, Garuda is really amazing especially the cabin crew!! They are so friendly, they will come by with food, snacks & drinks. 2 meals: 1 meal is almost after 2 hours after departure, 2nd is almost 2-1 hours before landing! You get enough drinks (but just go the gallery and ask if u can have a drink to take it back to your seat, a snack is also possible to ask, don’t be scared always ask normally they will give you it). Hygienic wise, the airplane it self was clean, my seat too, toilets too actually. I’m not sure you also get that little bag with handgel/facemask etc. Also for swollen legs, use compressed socks and walk around the airplane bc it is a long flight so your legs/feet will swell up! But really the flight is amazing (only a few turbulence especially above the Bay of Bengals there it was heavy) but other than that, good flight! I love flying Garuda and the crew always amaze me (always greets you with a smile) ☺️ i hope this gives you a little heads up how your flight might be. Only the IFE is a little out-dated, but there is enough for you to watch/listen too but i would say try to take some sleep and the time will go fast! ✈️🤍 have fun at the end of August!

Oh i forgot to mention: check-in part always be 3 hours before on the airport, if you have a connected flight in Amsterdam then don’t worry it is probably good alligned with the timings. You can bring your own snacks too i believe, so don’t mind to bring sum snacks 😌

Lebih bagus lg Garuda terbang ke eropa lainnya jadinya tdk sulit....contoh ke Malaysia plngnya bkn dr Malaysia tapi dr Singapura nah ada kan Garuda terbang dr Singapura ke Jkt....nah begitu maksud saya....

why was that plane on the buffer and not at the gate?? The three times I travelled with GA to Jakarta was in 1997, 1999 and 2000 and also in those times, it was parked at the buffer. That's really too bad!!

Honestly i have no idea! I traveled with Garuda in 2018 and they were on the gate. I was surprised this time that we had to take a bus to the airplane. BUT it was a very nice experience because i got to see the airplane from really close and it looked awesome😍

entahlah, garuda beberapa waktu terakhir ini sering parkir jauh, mungkin karena itu? Saya juga berpikir itu adalah kejutan, tapi sangat menyenangkan bisa melihat Garuda dari dekat! 🤗
