Flying Air Canada's A321 BUSINESS CLASS! Calgary to Vancouver (4K)
A short while ago, I flew from Calgary to Vancouver with Air Canada, on board their Airbus A321!
Suffice it to say, their cheaper upgrade prices got the better of me once again and I decided to try out Business Class on their A321 for the first time!

Good call on the upgrade. Travel is about experiences, not just simply moving from point a to point b. Its not every day you get to fly business class so enjoy!
I love your trip reports, no funny gimmicks, straight to the point, and it doesn't hurt you kinda approach things from a pilot's perspective too!
I know one thing Alex … if I was your height, there’d be no way in hell I’d be back in economy. I’d cut costs in other ways and use that money to make sure I was comfortable. 😉👍🏻. Breakfast looked brilliant … great way to start the day 😋. Great trip report as always 👍🏻. This U.S. citizen would love to live in Vancouver 😉
Glad to see a hot meal, served on an actual plate in the sky again.
Kinda funny watching this Business class review when I know that JetBlue has a full cabin in their 321’s

Compared to a business class seat on a domestic European A321 this is luxury. Air Canada prefers to use their A330, 787, and 777 on routes where a real business class is needed.
That is one loooong take-off roll. Luv it when you keep the take-offs and landings in your primary vid, Alex. Thumbs up from YLW.

I was thinking it was a long takeoff as well! She must have been heavy.

@@briankerr3817 Agree, full passenger load, I imagine. Not complaining, love those take-offs myself. 🛫
Love this video. I used to commute between YYZ abd YUL and usually flew biz class in the Baby Buses. Thanks for the memories!
Really agree that the interior is dated now. Would be great for them to commit to an interior refurbishment especially considering they continue to evaluate the A321LR. Would be a fantastic product for their North American routes and really bring them up to the standards of Jetblue, and United. Hoping to see further announcements as their recovery continues! Great video overall!

@@slukas1375 Jetblue entering Canada & Porter expanding should be a massive wake up call to refurbishment these older jets. Even their regional product needs some love too

@@nicholasstanton1150 Well, that is interesting news. I did not know JetBlue was coming to 🇨🇦. That is GREAT news, we really need the competition. I will look into this. Thanks for the heads up.

Their A321XLR is now confirmed. Can't wait to take the 2024 inaugural flight.
Great review. Thanks for sharing
Awesome flew that route back in September 2019, a little different back then but still awesome, great video Alex!
Awesome video ! Love to see an aviation channel based in Canada !
Great video Alex! What's even more fantastic is that hot meal service is back in Biz Class!!!! yayyy!!!
Great trip report as always!
Great video, those cabin interiors look really aged. I assume it will be refitted with the new interior or retired soon? 20 year old A321, wow.
Great review. The omelette is always so good
Another great video! Awesome footage!
I really love watching your Trip Reports, Alex.
Just flew Business Class last night with AC from Calgary to Toronto on A330-300. Your business class is more like Premium Class on A330-300 . Business-class is not bad, It is similar to the other long haul flight where I can lie flat with a pillow and blanket. You should give ita try next time.
Great video Alex! Keep them coming!! Love your videos!
Another awesome trip report! I loved the engine sound on takeoff!
Am I the only one who noticed the OWG 737-400 at 4:19 in Calgary?!?!
That AC Olympics livery 787 tho at 8:58 and 9:48! 🤌🤌🤌💯💯💯
Nothing like watching a review of a flight on the other side of the country from the route I just got off of. That new safety video is stuck in my head now.
I flew out of gate C54 before! On my first and only MAX flight back in February 2019
I greatly enjoyed this video....it was like I was there! Don't know how I found it however.
Love that you upgrade….they get you at the kiosk all the time :). I do exactly the same!!
I had a nice flight to Vancouver from Toronto on AC A321-200 several years ago. Nice video.
Great trip report and nice to see that the hot meals are now back in the business class. I love these older A320 and A321s for their thick padded seats. The new cardboard seats in the new aircraft gives me back pain after sitting on it for more than a hour.
Something about that engine view with the sunrise from behind! Really shows how much bypass there is! Been on a few flts going eastbound with the sunset behind, kinda gives the impression you’re looking into the combustion chamber, the way it glows. 👍✌️🍻
😁😁😍😍❤❤Good flight and I love the video and Air Canada !
I heard air Canada is a good airline I’ve never been on one but I heard that
Thank you for your Trip-Report!👍❤️🇩🇪
Excelente companhia aérea, tive o prazer de voar do Brasil a Toronto.
Did a similar upgrade YVR-YEG last week as I had a 2.5 hr layover from YYJ. Sadly, even though the flight was labeled as a Snack flight all that was offered was a choco bar and a bag of chips and no Baileys. Value was a bit lacking.
I flew on G-GITY the A321 is sure a very awesome aircraft!
Great video ALEX! In future videos, would it be possible for you to share the FIN Numbers along with the registration? Most of us pilots usually reference the FINs. Keep the great content rolling!!
The older seats are much more comfortable than the new ones that ate much smaller harder just not that good
Am i first to watch and comment this? Missing Canada so much
Take offs and landings in Vancouver are the best in Canada 😘
What I like about Canada it’s so clean
Hopefully AC are evaluating the A321neos, the LR/XLR would be well suited for transatlantic routes like YOW-LHR, which previously saw the 767 and is probably not best suited for the 787. Saying that, having 3 different narrowbody types might not be the most efficient.
Looking very nice...

That is good you had no one sitting next to you. And the breakfast meal looked nice!!
Great trip report and insight. Would you recommend an upgrade for an AC Jazz flight into the US even if the Maple Leaf lounge is closed at YYZ US departure gates?
I have to ask do you live in Calgary and have a regular job like everyone else because air travel is expensive!! It's been about 15 years since I've been on a plane! Last place I traveled to was Lima Peru, 8 hours flight from Toronto!! I enjoy your videos! Safe travels on all your flights!!
Lol I was on this flight !
Not worth $120 for a 1 hour flight, regardless how tall you are. Better to spend it on a few much nicer meals while in Vancouver. Extra legroom seat in Y would be a better choice. What was the date (you only show the month)?
That seemed like a long take-off roll. But then again, Calgary airport is higher altitude, so I guess it makes sense that the plane needs longer to rotate.

With long runway they use reduced thrust on takeoff to save wear and tear.
The upgrade was roughly a Lonnie per minute of flight time? If only that was always the pricing.
Do the review of westjet 787 from Calgary to Amsterdam
Woah. 9:45 what livery is that!!!!!!!!

Heard you say that air Canada canceled their max 9 order. When did they say that?
@ccudmore
3 жыл бұрын
March 2020 they canceled 11 Max-9 orders, reducing the order from 61 to 50. Then they reduced their Max-8 order by 10 in November 2020.

Currently evaluating the A321LR due to the economics being better suited. Still hold options for the MAX despite the cancelations
Is this identical to the rouge business class in a321-200?
What is the buzzing on takeoff ? Is that a fuel pump ?
Does anyone know if AC plans to refurbish their older airbus and express cabins?
So the seats recline?
Someday I'll be able to justify business class
What's difference btw Ait Canada and Air Canada Rouge?
Any comments on the new AC safety video?
Sorry Quebec 😂😂😂😂👏
👍
I still don’t understand why planes don’t have cupholders
That cloth on those seats was literally ripped off a 1976 oldsmobile! WTF is that?!
The US could learn a lesson from them
And if you're lucky AirCanada will swap your 321 for a Boeing 737 800Max at the last minute and risk your life.
*angry french noises*
Trudeau have 2 one for is but the other one for his cannot 🤮
Id sooner fly aeroflot than air canada, the asshole of airlines, worst customer service ive ever experienced, and only a 50/50 chance your luggage goes to the same destination..
Really this is not to the standards of business class..too small...please Air Canada improve your business class and match your standard with Emirates
