Here's a brief clip from flying my ‪@DJI‬ Mini 3 drone to have a flight around the former Tamworth Police Station site.
The police station was operational until it closed in 2019. What used to contain detectives, armed response vehicles, custody cells and police officers now lies overgrown, with areas of disrepair. The area has also been targeted by individuals set out to cause damage to the property.
There have been plans to convert the site into residential apartments, however these were rejected in December 2023. An appeal has since been made on this decision and the outcome decision from the application to the local authority are still pending.
