Team needs a 1C elite level prospect BAD like a Hagens, or just giving a McGroarty a chance and laughing back at Gauthier. I Ike having Eric Johnson as a 7thD. It's guys like Laughton making 3m a year when he's more effective on the 4th line. This team needs ELITE ceiling Center prospects. Someone to build around with Michkov. McGroarty and or Perfetti both look intriguing right now. McGroarty looks like a future 1C Captain to me. 🤷‍♂️

Flyers should've been offering McGroarty the city at the draft and came home with a future Elite ceiling prospect for 1C in McGroarty NHL ready to play with Michkov and gain chemistry from day one, and a #1D in Buium. They should've already HAD Zegras instead of Drysdale. Which looks like the same Ristolainen instead of Reinhart mistake right now. Buium is a future elite level #1D. And McGroarty is a future elite sniping/Two-way #1C. You can still fix ONE of those mistakes. 🤷‍♂️

Useless playing epitomizes this franchise continuing to spin its wheels. This is “the new era of Orange”. Only Philly fans could be this fooled

He's back because Drysdale is so awful that they just made up a fake injury story so they have an excuse not to play him on game #1. Remember that -6 game with Seeler and Drysdale pair? Tortorella wouldn't last 20 games playing Drysdale in front up those overrated goaltenders. I doubt Michkov will be in the lineup come game 1. "Ongoing visa delays"..... The Flyers are a hype machine. Couldn't sign Gauthier because they're broke. Couldn't draft a legitimate prospect at this years draft because they're broke. And cant resign Konecny because they're broke. They even have to resort to fake injuries on very expensive players who are severely underperforming (see Drysdale, Risto, Hart, Johansen, etc) This year is going to be a total comedy show.

@JoeAnton-rl4ds the flyers are one of the most successful teams in the modern era although they haven't won a Stanley cup since 1975 they have 7 finals appearances (2nd best team in the league) thats top 3 in the league of you figure 32 teams. Thats on average 1 finals win and 1 2nd place finish every 32 yrs. The flyers have one of the best devolpment systems in the league for young players.they also have 3 first round picks next yr and 3 2nd round picks all from bottom feeder teams and next yrs draft is supposed to be very deep. The flyers are in quite a good position. And while they have a lot of dead cap space most of that will come off the books next yr. They will resign konecny (when is the last time a team traded their top producer at the deadline?) Also a lot of the underperforming players are under 25

@@QuillyTheKid Its all going to change by November. Players under contract will just disappear. Its already happening. Hart disappeared. Now Kolosov has disappeared. Under contract. And then poof, gone. These contracts are meaningless. Show me the money. The Flyers couldn't afford to operate past the regular season last year and deliberately tanked in the final 15 games. I see no evidence anything has changed for the better. This years draft was a debacle. They deliberately avoided drafting anyone who could make the team. Its going to be shocking. Tortorella is toast. They have no money to pay him. Hilferty is already the gm. And Briere and Jones will be coaching this rag tag outfit just wait and see.
