Fly Tying: Kenney Abrames' September Night Flatwing With Martyn White

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This pattern from Kenney Abrames' classic book Striper moon is a fantastic imitation of a finger mullet while also being effective for gamefish targeting other bait. Like all flatwings it will work for a range of species, essentially anything that eats a baitfish, and not just striped bass.

Very nice looking fly. We call them Bucktail Fly's on Vancouver Island. They catch Coho Salmon in the salt water trolled at the highest speed possible but not planeing. It's entirely possible to catch a 100 Coho a day. I'm not sure what ya call that Hauling or Whoering. Tight lines from Vancouver Island.
