Fly Tying a spent green drake Mayfly with Barry Ord Clarke

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Another technique for a spent mayfly. Spent mayflies have their wings slightly raised in a more up right position to 45° as with this pattern, if you would like it to represent a spent spinner, just push the wings down, so they lie flat on the water as with the tail.

That is simply marvelous, but then again if it is not, no self respecting trout would nail it. Looks like small mouth fly as well. Thank you for helping all fly anglers and tiers to become better. Still would love to know what vise you use. Mine does not turn like yours, and that would be a GREAT feature to have on my vise. Again thank you very much for your time and talents.

Hi Mark, good to hear from you. There are many sets around but I do recommend that you put one together yourself or get a shop with a good fly tying dept to do it for you. I have put this together: thefeatherbender.com/2013/12/18/fly-tying-kit-for-start-tying-flies/
