That is perhaps the best looking caddis larva pattern I have seen...and so easy to tie. If you keep posting videos like this one, you are going to give Davie McPhail's youtube channel some good competition.

Mak and Davie Mcphail are both great fly tyers. They are also great mumblers such that we can't hear the material descriptions. Just saying...
This is exactly what i was looking for minus the antenna. From the pictures i have not seen the pupa with antenna. The rest is spot on, thank you!

Это просто здорово, когда человек что-то делает в удовольствие, а не по каким-то другим причинам, и делится этим со всеми. Не понятно вообще ничего, забыл школьный английский, но всё ясно, всё чётко и аккуратно. Привет из Сибири!

So many tyers ignore the importance of a smooth and proportional underbody. Yours are exceptional. You unwind your thread and go back over the shank more than any other tyer I’ve seen. By the way, if you are ever looking to purchase new scissors, I have a company that I use out of Pakistan that manufactures them and sells them at an incredible low price. Their quality is equal to Dr. Slick and similar manufacturers. They will also laser etch a logo on the scissor at no additional charge. If you are interested, let me know and I’ll email you the web address.

Is larve lace and stretch tubing the same thing ? Just a different brand name ?
@Makflies
6 жыл бұрын
It is almost same, I thing the tubing has hole like hose pipe, and the Larva Lace is a stretchy elastic
@james-lt8ry

So the lace would be better to use for makin the bodies then on this fly and when you see them used as other bodies too. Awesome channel by the way !!!!!
